Are you opposed to having multiple orgasms a half next season?
No sir, I am not.

Kessler or Boston would be the next class, not this incoming one. But if we have room for Cooper and a grad transfer, that makes me think Harper and someone else are leaving. Or Stretch or Jamal Johnson or someone is leaving. Maybe Flanigan takes a RS for the first year.
Do redshirts help your overall numbers though?

I’m just going to go ahead and assume that Wiley and Harper are gone. We will be fine with McCormick. We cannot lose ANT. Like pay him, hookers, blow... whatever. Cannot lose him to nerdy book poo
If that’s the case, we need at least one other big, maybe more than we need Tucker. With Spencer leaving and if Wiley leaves, that’s 2/3 of our depth at the 5, and Stretch doesn’t sound like he’s going to be ready next year.
He’s gonna have to quicken up that stroke considerably if he’s ever going to be a volume guy...Samir shot 42% this year from 3. I think he can be the volume 3 point shooter next year if he wins the starting role at the 2.
Gents, I have enjoyed the couple of days that I have been on your board. I do have a couple of questions though:
1.) Why isn’t there a b-ball board at Auburn Sports, and how did you come by using the James Madison board?
2.) What is the story around the moniker Boogs?”
Cheers!
This. It’s the reason I’m on the GREG for tiger hoops. The typical boog doesn’t know **** about hoops and usually complains about “street ball and bad shot selection”on #1, they don't really operate with sports focused boards. Everything flows through The Bunker for actual traffic. They may say they have a softball board or something at times, but it still all ends up on the Bunker.
The issue became that about 80% of the AU fanbase is football obsessed and only jumps on board with hoops when we are good. And man do they not understand hoops. They have football mentality where one loss means you are screwed, so they overreact to EVERYTHING. We had people wanting both Harper and Brown benched when we lost 3. We had people contemplating who we could get to replace Pearl because we needed better coaching. They'll lose their minds when we jack up a few bad 3's because they don't understand the way we play and how all of it works together. They just didn't get the idea of peaking for the tournament at all to be honest. It was like a regular season loss to Ole Miss was just the same as a Sweet 16 loss would have been.
So if you wanted to talk hoops with people who actually have watched a ton of basketball and understood what we were doing you had to get off all the primary AU boards. Even then it became difficult at times but it's dramatically better here than anywhere else I found.

Oh my the youngster is ruggedly masculine yet charmingly handsome. Wouldn’t hate it if we could find room for him but if not then UNC isn’t a bad plan B for him.

One of the Rivals analysts told me Kessler ain’t coming to AU. And in his last interview on 247, he barely mentions the Boogs. The AOT connection has to work in our favor with BJ Boston though so I’d bet heavily that we’re way better shape with him
Just using logic though. We have a way better chance of landing a guard who is teammates with at least two AU players than we do of landing a big man (who won’t be the primary option as a scorer) who has zero teammates at AU. He’s also a UGA legacy. I’ve also read that the Boogs primary target at Big Man has shifted to Clifford OmoruyiOn one hand, the guys like Hooks talking about one of them coming could be just sunshine pumping and taking a young kid at his word while on a visit. On the other, not being mentioned in national interviews while Auburn folks are highly confident could be a really good thing for us.
I've literally seen people mad on the bunker for players not "following their shot" like their 4th grade upward basketball coach told them to do.
USCe has recruited 3 other kids from his HS including Silva. Good thing USCe is a 2nd tier program and the pull to be a HYG is at an all time high.Just using logic though. Yeah it’s a long story. Full of revenge, cowardice, fighting, betrayal...just normal internet stuff. Thanks for educating me, Duf! I was just curious.
Haven’t read the thread so it’s prob been discussed but I will share my thoughts. I’m worried about the 5 position. Wiley has t shown he can his full season without getting hurt. We need another big imo. Hopefully Ant plays like he did against UK and Virginia for most of next season.
I know we will be more talented on paper but losing Bryce is gonna be a huge hole to fill. We didn’t win with better talent. There were more talented teams that lost. Most of those teams had freshmen. So..I trust Bruce to get the most out of the squad but I just don’t know if we can replace Bryce production. Full disclosure..I’m still bummed so being negative I thinks still
did he bounce that shit off dudes head for the score at the :54 mark? Kid clearly balls out, wonder if he would gel with the rest of the squad?

I'm still not 100% sold on healthy Wiley being a great fit for us. I'm also not sold on healthy Wiley being able to do the things that are required to be a great player. Can he help...well sure. He block shots and gets boards and some points on put backs and the occasional post play. But Chuma was our best post option and it wasn't really close. Wiley always looks like he's about to fumble the ball or travel. Just not sure he's built to play our style of game when everything is more frenetic and fast.
I think we're gonna need a grad transfer big that can block shots and rebound and also be a bit like Horace where I don't feel like we've completely lost if he gets switched onto a guard. Those guys aren't easy to find.
When Chuma posts, he finishes going towards the basket. Austin often went away from the basket. Bigs who take a lot of shots going away from the basket shoot a much lower percentage according to statsImadeupinmyhead.com
Still trying to wrap my head around the Wiley that was reported on at the Team USA stuff and the one we saw this season. He did not look smooth in the post at all. Even the makes looked uncoordinated. No real touch at all. No moves that, as you pointed out, get him towards the hoop instead of moving away from it. Heck Horace had a little hook he could use in the middle of the floor that was a more solid move than anything I saw from Wiley. And his constant bringing the ball down to his knees to gather is so elementary it hurt my soul to watch.
Why would Jamal be leaving? He had to sit out a year to get to Auburn.
Just a guess by me. Have heard nothing to indicate that. Depth plus possibly bringing in GTs plus the next couple recruiting classes. Just thinking of all possible options as far as attrition and numbers. Doesn’t seem likely, but I also didn’t think Davion would’ve transferred last year.
hut hut is gonna suck and until it PROVES it has become competent I'm not gonna care. Bruce is what is right with AU athletics.this is literally all I care about right now... like I don't give two craps about football now.

Who is Tucker?gary-7 is saying that Tucker is a UNC AUBURN battle
Who is Tucker?
That would be one of the worst hires in AU history, after Gus of course. Dude has won about 63% of the games he's Head Coached. He's had double digit wins in 7 years of being HC. I don't know where the LK to AU meme started but it should be left out of serious discussion like we have over here.If we hire Lane Kiffin. I immediately care again for the laughs
