I honestly don't give a shit until assburgers is gone. just curious about the state of the fambly.
I'll remain down on AU football until proven wrong. I'll gladly take the crow if Gus can prove to me he's a capable HC, but I'm guessing that's not happening. He's a bad head coach and not a very smart human being....you might can be one but certainly can't be both while trying to run a massive program these days. He's going to fall on his face and I'm not going to get all emotionally invested until a capable person is in control.

I can’t even get to that point... I’ll be happy for the players for any individual or team successes - and, while I’ll never root against the players, I’ll be angry at any real success Gus ever achieves on a professional level

his particular character flaws are so offensive to me that I refuse to accept anything other than their full punishment... he’s already set for life and for generations to follow, which is inexcusable... but I’ll be damned if I’m ever going to be happy that they’re rewarded because the talent surrounding him was able to overcome his best efforts to sabotage it

it would be hypocritical of me to ever celebrate Gus’ success - not because he’s a bad guy, or I hate Auburn, or am incapable of admitting when I’m wrong... but because he stands opposed to every basic belief I have as it pertains to humanity, society, success, and life itself... he’s the living embodiment of the worst qualities a professional can possess - and I’m patiently waiting for him to receive his well earned, and appropriate comeuppance

the fact that he hasn’t yet is a reflection on both the best, and worst, parts of Auburn

Hello darkness, my old friend.

I'm not going to Dallas but would like to. I can't fly out until Friday night. I thought about going to the game when we play UF. Anyone ever been down there?
Went in 86 & it was the worst. We were #3 or 4 in the country & kicked a FG the last play of the third to go up 17-Zip. I sat with my parents that entire quarter & told them that should do it & went back to my seat. Enter a gimped up Kerwin Bell that put on a show. We had the ball at about the Gator 35 & really didn’t have to do anything except run the clock, until Reggie Ware laid an egg & they recovered it & Bell went full Montana. He went on an aerial assault & cut the lead to 17-16. Then on the two point attempt he limped across the stripe barely ahead of the GOAT Tracy Rocker.
My buddy that went with me decided to fly down this year to try & take back what was taken from us, UNTIL we went to the LSU game together last year. All my money is going to be spent following the HYGS from here on out. Much more pleasure to be derived.
@CJ3131 can correct anything here or fill in some gaps

Very good memory, Solly.
The WR, Kerwin threw to was also injured--a bad ankle as I recall.

I think they played us for HC too, as they also did back when we won 16-0 and maybe one other. We are their HC opponent once again this season.

This will be my only away game for the season.

I hope we ruin another one for them.

WDE Solly!

Reading this was so cathartic.

Can't remember if I shared this story here, but it's pretty important as far as GuZ & Boog hut hut. The president of our local AU alumni chapter was instrumental in getting a recruit on campus awhile back & actually got to sit in with our ignorant coach during the meeting. Gus actually started asking the poor child if he had ever been to Israel and what a great trip it was. Actually told the the kid he should make the trip one day while his lunatic wife was chiming in. The S/A decommitted not long afterwards. This in itself proves how far removed from real life this guy actually is. Anyone hoping he can turn this thing around, well prayers lifted if anyone is so inclined.

Gonna need a bit more context here as to how TF Israel came up, but I’ll go ahead and assume Gus fvcked it all.

yeah all one needs to know here is that he was in the room with young stud and he spoke.

Seeing as how awkward Gus is socially I'm envisioning the kid talking about how excited he was for an upcoming beach trip with his buddies and Gus saw a chance to throw in some evangelism via an Israel pitch. That or he just got back from Israel himself and since he's a Simple Jack that can't relate to anyone else on the planet he just didn't know what to say about the beach and talked about his latest trip.
