a few reminders in there of how much Austin was delittling Kentucky’s top 5 squad in Rupp before the refs decided he had to be stopped
I’m anticipating development - both physically and in his game - to the point we won’t even recognize him
I expect him to be much better. We’re going to look sooooo different though. May take a few weeks to figure ourselves out. When we do it’s gonna be nasty though.
shouldn't take too long. He still practiced with the squad all last year.
I don’t think it will take too long but there will be some acclimation curve for sure. I can’t inagine we’ll start better than 22-3 or whatever that was last season. We had personnel issues late last year but we peaked too soon also. Hoping for peak next year to start late Feb and early March. Then roll!

What a day gang and got to spend it on the links (although it rained and I shot a couple over). The Stapha thing sounds like BS and I see no way he could be about to graduate but whatever. Still may have been our best all around player but won’t miss his sour demeanor and annual bouts with the flu and back spasms. It’s Danjels time, and Austin is just gonna abuse every helpless child who dares to get in between him and the rim. So psyched.

Sweet Jared is the best overall player when he’s playing well. That stretch he had last year up until the SC game was insane. Too bad Frank had to go fvck up our season like that, but I have a feeling Jared will know how to deal with it this year...
Yeah I was envisioning him getting back to 40% from 3 to go with that ability to get to the rim but the fact he can’t pass and doesn’t want to probably wasn’t gonna change.
Staph was not a facilitator at all. He tried to create shots for himself and not others. His basketball IQ was very average, but he had some abilities(strength for his size). We have spot up shooters and we need someone who can slash/facilitate. That's where Samir comes into play. The team will be better by having a player of Samir's style versus a player like Heron.

This is what I’m most excited about. Wiley gives us options at the 5 and a true scoring threat in the paint. We get depth and another shot altering presence on defense. Now, you can cross over Horace to the 4 and still have him as an emergency 5. Plus Stretch is supposed to redshirt but would be available in a desperate situation. As much as guard play is important to Bruce’s system, having depth in the paint allows us to be stronger defensively and will hopefully prevent any prolonged scoring droughts.

So with Marquis officially announced why wouldn't they just bring Harrington in and let him focus on coaching and let the rest of the staff handle recruiting. He could do a handful of visits and hire a PA to handle his correspondence.
Marquis won’t have to recruit off campus... just tell those youngsters to google “Marquis Daniels chain” and watch them flock...
maybe hold off on having them google “Marquis Daniels shotgun tattoo” until they’ve signed their LOI...
I don't see how Heron is on pace to graduate after two years. I'd rather have Wiley if I had to pick. He just fills a huge hole at the 5.
The best thing about Wiley is that he gives us a true down low option when we are stagnant or trying to close out games. If he can dish out to open 3's when the D collapses and score when they don't he will add a dimension that could really put teams in a bind.

They suggest Staph was one of our worst all around offensive players. Of course they also suggest Bryce and Davion were our worst defenders so tifwiw. Also Ant was a gatdamn stud.

"Apparently Auburn doesn't want to finalize anything before the superseding indictment against Chuck Person that is expected comes down and is fully vetted by our guys. That is suppose to be within a matter of weeks according to fillings from Person's co-defendant."
I wish they had us a little further down, seems like AU teams never play well when they're expected to be "good"
