Just my own speculation but I think it’s more about him wanting to be THE GUY and the star of the team. He was about to get his minutes reduced this season, and Jared, Austin and Bryce are all arguably bigger stars than him so he bolted
Not sure if you saw it from me, but he was close to Adler. Don't know if that's why he's considering leaving. Some guy on Scout said he heard Heron's mom is having health issues. That could explain this. JGT says he could graduate this summer. That could explain it.
This lets Purifoy shine. I am bullish on Danjel this year, big time.

JGT just posted that Heron could potentially graduate this summer. Makes a lot more sense now if that’s actually the case.

yeah I think so too. I don't think he's as good as he thinks he is, but I also know there's value in clearly being the best player on your team and showing out that way, so I can understand it. I think we'll be fine without him
I like the big lineup and want to see Mac some at the 4, and think we will see some of that early on with Purifoy out. But you're probably right.
I'm hoping for Chuma.

When we want to go really big we can go:

Can’t blame him for that. Wonder if that played into his wanting to go make money quickly too
I wish him well. Hopefully he can go be the man at a local school, maybe UConn and get his shot at the NBA. He did great things at Auburn, but next year had logjam malcontentedness written all over it.
nah...it's been said often that he's not a big fan of school, so i bet if he had a chance make reasonable money and keep his mom close he would have done it.

Doubtful we will let him unless he wants to just come in and redshirt to get better experience. I’d be okay with that scenario.
