For me he just isn’t smooth/fluid crossing over, going between his legs, changing directions with the ball, etc. Simple moves seem to be a chore for him. But maybe it is a head thing for him??

You can get away with that if you are 6'5 and do the other things he can do well. The problem is that while he can be an elite on ball defender, you aren't putting 6'2" on most NBA 3's and seeing any success. Guys that can't dribble and are spot shooters need to be able to guard at least 1 through 3 and probably even 4.

Bryce talking about improving at the 1. I’m sure some would be sour on this but it wouldn’t hurt my feelings to see this lineup on the floor a few mins/gm.

i'm down, all for Bryce getting chances at the 1, just don't want to see passes flying to the sidelines or guys getting stuffed and taking poor shots because the ball isn't getting moved around.
Yeah but it’s a physically striking group. Be blowing everyone out anyway so let these guys get a few mins where they project as a pro.
I guess I’m just trying to warm to the idea of not bringing in another PG if all these guys come back. Samir probably in the same boat too that he projects better as a PG. Last thing we need is to add some unhandsome, underskilled youngster to this group.

Honestly if Bryce’s handles were good enough we could average 95+ a game with that lineup seeing bulk minutes.
I love Harper for a number of reasons, but I'd like to see Bruce go after guys in the 6'3 - 6'5 range at PG going forward. It's the best way to prepare kids that size for the next phase of their game and the tiny PG thing does have its limitations as well. Harper is a very intense defender and he'll fight you till the last breath if you try to bully him but here is only so much 5'10 can do against 6'4 in reality. We start making NCAA tourney runs and some of these PG's are going to just bully ball him...the Nova PG would have posted him up 20 times if it was needed.
From what I have heard they are waiting until he is accepted into school until they make the announcement but he will definitely be one of the two GA's. Also, it's pretty much a done deal that Mustapha is coming back. It's his only decent option.
