TOS said earlier today that Staph hasn’t signed with an agent and told the coaches he may return. Also said the expectation is for Wiley to return along with Brown and Harper.
Wouldn’t surprise me to see someone else transfer if Staph does actually return

I talked to Wiley at Chipolte last week and he said he thought he was coming back tifwiw.
Still hasn’t signed with agent and some buzz is starting to build that he is giving more and more consideration to returning to Auburn for next season. Still some ways to go here, but it’s no longer a sure thing that he signs with an agent.
So the agent debate will be between "did a good job not hiring an agent, look at the fact that all his options are still available to him" and "well this is what happens when you are a borderline guy who doesn't hire an agent, nobody fighting for you to get that invite using their connections to pump your value up"
JMO, but I think you sign with an agent if you are a lock 1st rounder and if not you let your game do the talking and see where you land. I don't think slick rick is getting you a combine invite just by building you up. NBA GM's know who they want to see and you telling them how great a kid you represent is probably isn't going to seem all that valid.
Whatever gets Gus's dumb****ery out of the way and allows those top ten recruiting classes to reach their potential.

Just wanted to share why Mitchell and Murray are no longer at AU. Murray was being drug tested weekly, and simply left so he could smoke weed at another school and hoop. Mitchell’s uncle is the reason he’s gone. Thought they misused and didn’t get enough playing time to Davion.
Pearl and his wife love AU more than Knoxville. Has been told “we will pay you like the king you are, but if you get popped by the NCAA the New contract extension will be void”. Coaches are recruiting harder than they ever had. Wiley all comes down to the combine, and if he can get a first round grade.

Why are we testing weekly? I mean the kid should be able to lay off a bit but testing weekly for weed is just some idiocy to begin with in todays college sports world.
Not shocked on Mitchell. There is always an uncle and there is also always a kid who leaves due to PT. We had guys leaving under previous coaches for the same reason when the roster was total crap. Only more likely to happen as roster and expectations improve.
Bruce is a helluva salesman, but if the vibe he puts off regarding how much he enjoys being at AU and how thankful he is that we opened the door for him is just an act I'd be shocked. Dude seems very genuine in those moments and if he's faking it god bless him he's got the best pitch in the game. We could be looking at a real hoops program for a sustained period of time if we can just keep the NCAA at arms length.
Mcglynn goes over the top with compliance. That includes drug testing and they hammer down on transfers even More. The Pearls believe AU goes too far with compliance due to their perceived stigma of a cheating institution. The coach who said this, even said it was sometimes 2x a week in drug testing.
Pearl’s wife loves AU the most, and that’s very important to Bruce. Steven was on the phone with Person right before he got arrested. No one knew what was coming, and the Pearl’s say they had no idea of what Person was doing. Of course they would say that, but that’s what they said!
There won't be a lot of minutes for all these people if they all come back. Team chemistry will be big next year.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up on a boog super squad returning but I pray it happens. Chemistry doesn't concern me. We got 10 guys max that will have any expectation of being in the rotation. 9 while Danjel sits. I expect the rest of the spots guys will be looking at basically a RS season. We should be running teams out the gym and have the luxury of resting guys or getting guys some extra mins once in awhile. We've freed up 40mins/gm with Davion and Murray leaving.

Have a really hard time believing that D Murray left just bc he wanted to smoke weed more. With Danjel getting cleared and Chuma only getting better, he was gonna be shit out of luck this season. And after being the star of his first team and and a starter last year, I doubt he wanted to end his career on the bench getting 10-12 minutes a game
