The explanation Steven gave made sense. We're getting off to fast starts and we play super intense, high pressure early and that fits Ant better than it does Wiley. I think the starting lineup will stay locked in.Ant had 2 early fouls. I think he’s better all around than Austin so wouldn’t surprise me if he keeps starting. I think he has some flat games every once in a while though. He did against Dayton. Nice to be able to go to Austin more in those games and of course Ho is always at 100+.
I'd like to see us rotate Wiley/Ant more. Keep them fresh, never tired legs and never let them sit too long either. I think Horace can play with Ant but not with Wiley TBH. We look like poo when we have 2 bigs that can't really shoot jumpers. No space to operate on the blocks for Austin or Horace (his little hook isn't bad).
There are so many ways to go with this. Need to figure some stuff out before conference plays starts. I think Horace is gonna be the most restricted though. The last two games he was 11-12 minutes in each. I think those 20 minute nights might be over. Though we might find some success going "big" with Wiley and Ant on the floor for a bit, then go small and crazy with Horace at the 5 and pick up the defensive pressure and try to push he pace even more when he's in that spot.
Somehow we have to get Harper and Brown more rest IMO. Gotta keep those legs fresh.
