OT: AUBURN BASKETBALL

I think these rules benefit Bruce’s squads. Encourages tempo. And we ain’t scared of shooting another foot or so back, but I expect other squads to shoot fewer threes.

agreed... love the shot clock rule change just in general

on the 3 point thing, I look at it similarly to lengthening golf courses to “hurt” big hitters... all that extra length does is make it harder for shorter hitters to keep up... same with shooting... good shooters will adjust and make shots from 20 feet - 22 feet - or 24 feet... shaky shooters will keep getting worse the farther back you push them... BRUCE goes out and finds good shooters

the teams who shoot it well will continue to shoot it well - and moving back the line hurts average to bad shooters way more than it affects good shooters, so they can move it all the way back to the NBA line and I’ll be happy

Bruce agrees.

I do think Auburn was being a bit dramatic in their statement. Still, two things concern me with that statement: something new coming out that wasn’t disclosed to or found by Auburn’s internal investigation and the Head Coach Responsibility charge levied against Bruce. With the HCR charge, I don’t think we’d fire Bruce, just suspend him. But anything new that comes out that makes things look worse for us could make things really dicey.

anything that even hints at blame on Bruce will get blown way out of proportion and will likely have an effect on the program's recruiting.

I find Person's stated wish to return to Auburn hard to stomach and truly hope that bridge has been burned to the ground. That said, if he were to start an AAU team and funnel HYGs to the Pearl boys i'd be cool with that.

Yo I read some ESPN article and first time I’ve seen the $ amounts reported:

The university wrote that Purifoy took $1,250 from Person and that his parents accepted $4,500 in cash and hotel rooms. Auburn officials said Wiley accepted about $800 from Person over 10 months.

800 bucks and had to sit a whole year lol wtf.

yeah. Pretty pathetic. I'm gonna be livid if about 6k total leads to any scholly losses or shit. It's just ridiculous.

Meanwhile Bama pays a kid 50 grand and he sits for a game.

Boog University has the happiest students in the USA (up from #19) and we all can concur that this is attributed to Mighty BRUCE and there's no question about it. I think it's about time someone write a song "My BRUCE" to the music of "My Girl", but whatever. This is the list & a link to the Final Four & how we got here (sorry it's al.com).

Jamal Johnson could be the odd man out of the playing rotation if things keep going like they have so far.
