So this is making the rounds. This guy is a clown y'all:
Thank you and I have received a number of emails late today concerning Coach Pearl. As they are all similar I will be brief. I appreciate your interest in Auburn basketball and your support of the coach. There is no rush to judgement here and we have been working with the coach for weeks to find a solution to this difficult situation. Having three of his employees suspended or terminated is troublesome at best. His unwillingness to even talk to me about it is particularly troublesome. In addition I have many more facts than the fans and rest assured that I will make any decision based on facts, what is best for Auburn and not on emotion or perceptions from the past.
I wish we were not in such a difficult situation, but we are, and Auburn will move past this regardless of the path chosen.

Certainly not a fan of how he's responded to a lot of people who have sent him emails and posted his responses, although I appreciate him personally responding. It has a certain Trump-like feel to it. (No politics)
Why is this joker doing anything but sending out a form response? Attempting to justify himself to individuals is complete nonsense.
And it makes him look foolish. Some guy on the bunker said Leath's response to him was "duly noted." Why TF is he responding to anyone if that's his response?
We are the best at hiring the most incompetent people. If he thought Pearl needed to go, he should have fired him. Everyone would have been upset but could have found a reason like new Pres wanting a fresh start bs bs bs. If he wanted to keep BP and roll the dice, then he could have issued a statement of support and waited for more information and hid behind the FBI's request to wait until after the investigation was over. Now he just looks weak and foolish.
One has to ask, "Can anything good come out of Iowa St.?"

We’re hearing chatter from a variety of angles that the latest, and possibly final, “line in the sand” has been drawn. Bruce Pearl must acquiesce to Auburn’s request to interview ... or else.
Considering the current level of anxiety in and around the Auburn basketball sphere right now, the deadline almost certainly is today. So it’s talk or walk. That’s what I’m seeing.
We’ll be watching closely.
My gut feeling is that Pearl won’t be coaching this team much longer. Nobody has told me that; I just know how these situations play out.

As of last night, PM (per sources) thinks Bruce is safe (but it may would all come down to whether he answers questions are not). Think Wiley could be cleared within days. Hasn't heard anything on Purifoy.
Hoke thinks everyone wants to burn Auburn to the ground.
I just think if every coach in America tied to schools that were linked tot he FBI sting are talking, Bruce is shooting himself in the foot.

Doubt presidents and outside counsel are involved elsewhere. Just reeks of Boog U being Boog U even if Bruce could do more on his end.

For some reason, I actually think Bruce and staff are the only staffs not talking.
I think it is more of a stretch to assume other schools are not diving in deep into their internal investigations in this matter.
I think both sides are at fault.

Im 100% against firing Bruce, but I do think he has as much fault as to where this situation is as anyone.
We’ll just have to wait and see. They wouldn’t be so desperate to talk with him if they actually had proof of anything. So it’s obvious they overplayed their hand by a lot. If the lump this in with the chuck situation and the NCAA winds up clearing the two players, then they’re gonna have a lot of egg on their faces

I believe that the admin went into this situation looking for a way to keep Bruce and clear him, even if the staff got in trouble. I think it has changed for the worse since Bruce doesn't talk to them. Just a brutal situation. Does not seem like there's any way he makes it out of this
But if Bruce and his attorney have legitimately found a legal reason for him to keep silent bc of the ongoing fbi investigation, then the administration should respect that. Otherwise it could cause them a shitload of embarrassment and cash
I suspect he could do more in terms of talking but also has legitimate legal concerns about it. Meanwhile you have the admin being inflexible about the terms of those discussions and trying to strong arm the staff with lines in the sand or whatever.
The admin won't say anything. It's clear they aren't doing all they can to clear the players. They won't tell the support staff why they are suspended. I suppose there are 2 sides here but everything out there points to the admin screwing this up. Then there's the obvious fact that our bball program is beyond screwed without Bruce.
It sounds like the dipshit law firm providing counsel the administration believes that whatever precedent or law Bruce’s attorney is citing to keep him silent is bullshit, so they’re advising Leath to keep pressuring him. SO, who stands to benefit from that? Nobody except that law firm, bc they’ll get hired again to argue against Bruce’s predictable attempts to receive the remainder of his contract. Sounds like we have some shady attorneys who just want a lucrative war instead of peace
Hoke said Bruce was willing g to talk and on the day of the meeting Auburn backed out. I disagree Bruce is as much as fault as anyone.
