OT: AUBURN BASKETBALL

Auburn forward Danjel Purifoy expressed frustration about the ongoing investigation that has left him and fellow teammate Austin Wiley sidelined indefinitely from games.

The redshirt sophomore took to Twitter not long after Auburn finished practicing Monday and said that he just wants to be "happy" doing what he loves but that the current situation is "taking the love away from me."

A fan responded to Purifoy's tweet asking for clarification, and the forward said it was in reference to "waiting to play."

"I've been through this before and I'm starting to feel mistreated," Purifoy responded from his account, @DanjelKevon3.

Auburn has decided to sit Purifoy and Wiley indefinitely as the university has yet to certify their eligibility stemming from the FBI investigation into former associated head coach Chuck Person.

Person was one of 10 people, including four assistant basketball coaches from across the country, who were arrested Sept. 26 as part of an FBI investigation into the criminal influence of money on college basketball. Person has since been indicted on six federal charges, including fraud, bribery and corruption, and faces a statutory maximum of 80 years in prison.

I can't imagine how frustrated that kid is. I've been tough on his play, but dude got to AU believing he was about to be a star as a freshman (and he had that potential). Sits out an entire year. Gets to play, starts pretty good and then gets some ankle injuries and just doesn't play very well the remainder of the year. Hyped for this season with more support and a chance to play the 3 and now this.

I'd be crushed.

He also had someone take his ACT for him and took money. As much as I want him to play, no one should feel bad for him.

Hearing Austin and Danjel could possibly make the trip to Dayton. Highly unlikely Danjel would play in the small chance he does travel but Austin is a possibility for both.

All the fans should chant eat shit McGlynn or Rich is a Bitch over and over if/when AW gets cleared and on the floor.

The scandal talk going on for every broadcast of every game is really getting annoying. And it’s like they try to magnify it more by constantly saying that AU is missing “it’s two best players.” Blatant disrespect for all the other players. Heron in particular. In no way could you ever consider Purifoy a better player than Stapha based on last year

... Austin Wiley's availability this weekend.

I'm currently listing him as a GO based on some intel I have received. Auburn's official stance has been and will be "TBA," but I think it's time.

Auburn plays George Mason University Sunday at 2 p.m.

Dear God just look at that hulking specimen. Potentially the most physically dominant big man in college hoops this year. Let it be so my body is ready.
