our guy may not be the most trusted news outlet. seems to be more interested in those who report the news actually.

If he keeps this up I might have to throw my tbb savings his direction.
Guy deserves it. It's a shame Ron Sanders is the biggest chode on the net and the site is click bait trash or I'd pay for the content.

Gang I'll be unleashing my sexy stud rankings 1-11 in the coming days. May do a poll for the GREG to vote on. Not that it would impact how I rank them in anyway but could be fun.

Yeah, definitely wouldn't give any money to Ron. I'm thinking a nice crisp $10 bill a month anonymously sent to his personal mailbox with a personal note thanking him for the BASKETBALL coverage..

Great idea. Mike has a 50 photo feature out there with some great shots of all our guys. MALIK continues to impress my eyes.

just seems to me if they are admitting a bad system that needs an overhaul they aren't going to have time/ inclination to enforce things from the old structure. Full disclosure I'm a huge AU bball honk but that's my take on this.

That is a reasonable line of thinking. Just making sure I didn't miss where they had discussed the preliminary findings.

Sounds like Horace made a good impression with the NBA crowd. Maybe he’s learned how to dribble and shoot in the offseason

I’ve had him slated as #11 on my SSRs but he’s consistently been mentioned as a top performer. Maybe he’ll live up to those baby Rodman comparisons this year.

  • Jared Harper took a pair of charges during a four-on-four defensive drill early in practice. The plays didn’t go unnoticed by Pearl, who yelled out,” Is Jared the only one with the nuts in here to take a charge?”

Love it when baby Jared takes charges in the open court. So boss

Notes from an “insider” on the boog board...

** I thought Danjel Purifoy and Mustapha Heron were Auburn's best players today. No surprise there. Purifoy was active on both ends, hitting his 3-pointers and getting to the rim on occasion. Heron shot well too and had a very impressive one-handed slam off a rebound.

** As Bruce Pearl mentioned, Horace Spencer was very active. He played physical inside and rebounded well.

** Bryce Brown didn't have his best shooting day but never hung his head and played well defensively.

** Chuma Okeke is playing with more confidence and is more assertive on offense. Needs to work on finishing better around the rim but I definitely see progress.

** Both points guards, Jared Harper and Davion Mitchell, played well and ran the team well. Mitchell doesn't play like a freshman, but does need to work on his finishing just like Okeke.

** I really like Desean Murray. Plays physical and rebounds. His 3-point shot is improving. Just a hustle player. I'm #TEAMDESEAN.

** Anfernee McLemore got a haircut and he looks smaller, but still rebounds and plays defense as good as anybody on the team.

** Quote of the Day came during a defensive team drill: "Does anybody besides Jared Harper have the nuts to draw a f-ing charge."

Unc just completely skated from all the academic fraud charges. Not sure how it affects this whole FBI case and Auburn, but it proves the NCAA is a joke and gives me more hope that AU will just receive a slap on the wrist at worst
No need to victim shame Auburn by slapping them on the wrist. I say an apology is in order.

This thing where the FBI is now requesting all information related to our bball crootin has me nervous again. What a joke. Praying BRUCE isn't implicated.

You had to assume that this would happen. If Chuck's indictment has anything to do with the shoe companies, I would be more worried. Im not saying there is nothing to this. No clue.

But remember that this ding dong walked himself into a FBI investigation that had nothing to do with him and his stupidity.

The NCAA lost it's teeth during a stretch of time where the $$ in college sports multiplied significantly and school or their boosters started suing the NCAA over basically any ruling they didn't like. It shifted everything. The system changed from being one where the schools agreed to play by the NCAA's rules and basically just deal with the punishments given to one where everyone knew the schools would fight it at every possible level and have a team of lawyers trying to pick apart any negative ruling.

This should be the golden age of cheating. Just be marginally decent at covering your tracks or framing things where it might fall in some grey area and the schools lawyers should be able to take care of the rest. Nobody is getting in the way of this billion $$$ industry right now.
