I think situational FT shooting is important. Closing out games, finishing and-1s, that kind of thing. But just looking at the FT stat line and making the determination that if we had hit more of the misses that we might've won or extended our lead is where I think most here believe people err. The Bama game is a perfect example.
Here's a fun fact. We're 321st in FT % against. These try hard losers are making them against us and we are still running them out the gym.
The way this team hits the offensive glass I wonder if we might be better off missing a few more. Of course, I'd rather be at like 73% with Austin going 4-6 every night but I'm content with 20-2 I guess.
This. Especially the part in bold. I also think it would have allowed Mustapha to play some at the 2, which I think he would be more comfortable with which might be part of the reason he has struggled some this year.
Perhaps a Chick-fil-A promotion would help bring down our opponents' %.

We’re 5-2 in the 7 Q1 games we’ve played so far. I’d definitely take going 5-2 in the next 7 as well
I want to hold serve at home, including Kentucky, and I want to win at UGA and at Florida.
That would likely lock up a 2 seed as long as we didn’t go one and done in the SEC tourney.
If we win the SEC regular season I'm not sure I'll care about a SEC tourney run. Don't want to go out playing badly, but if we ran into someone shooting red hot that needed wins in the tourney and was playing desperate I'd be alright with it and see it as a chance for a break and not risking injury. Get me that regular season title though.
I mean, hell, we're actually worried about losing in the tourney and risking falling all the way down to a #3 seed, at worst a #4 seed? Seriously? Sure sucks to be a boog nowadays.
the tourney win would be more fun just because of the snowball effect of booging 3 straight days...
a regular season title is a greater achievement - and I want both - but I’d be ecstatic with either, and disappointed if we whiff on both at this point...
I also think our depth and minute distribution lends itself better to quick turnarounds... and BRUCE - for all his in game x&o critics - has always been known as a good tournament corch who scouts ahead really well and can implement new game plans quickly...
my hope is that we still haven’t peaked and will not be worn down come March and if anything will appear to peak then, just by virtue of other teams hitting the wall while we sustain our current level of play...
getting WAY ahead of myself - I’ll be more worried about a Sweet 16 matchup against a team with 5 days to prepare than I will about an Elite 8 matchup against a better opponent 48 hours later... but if we can get out of this season with either SEC title and make it out of the first weekend - this season will have been more than I ever thought possible

I'm just ready to see our name called and find out where we're going to play so I can make travel arrangement. Ideally, we'd be in Nashville and in the South Regional. That way I don't have to worry about traveling until the weekend of the Final Four.

The fact that we play 9 guise has really been a plus as far as maintaining energy throughout the season. Hopefully we can keep everyone healthy, and the repected dead of the Creek Tribe under the CLAM allow us to keep our dreams alive until March.

Yep. I’m gonna have all options pulled up on different tabs and just click “purchase” when they announce it. Then figuring out a way to tie work in so I can expense most of it.
If we can’t beat one of them we don’t deserve it. We need those wins on the resume.
I think they were talking about the SEC tourney. If we want a #1 seed in the big dance, we gotta win out, and make a deep run in the SEC tourney IMO.
Give me the SEC title and I’ll be happy with a 2/3 seed and a good draw where we play in the south.

One of the gameday crew members just said we were are the biggest surprise of the season, and Bruce Pearl will get us to the Elite Eight,
