Let’s be fair most of college (and Highschool) is a waste. I can only think of 3-4 college courses that were worth the time to take. All it does is prove you have enough commitment to get a piece of paper to get a foot in the door. (Specialty fields like MDs excluded)

Purifoy has a higher ceiling imo
if Danjel is back and Austin is back, I’m fine with Mustapha leaving
it wouldn’t hurt us from a depth perspective and the minutes/shots would fall into place so much easier
even if Austin isn’t back, I’d trade Stapha for Samir and Danjel assuming no other defections
too many pieces on the board to know what to root for and how it will all work out, but Danjel is going to help way more than people are giving him credit for right now

I'm not az high on PURIFOY az uthaz. He duz potenshully have a high ceiling.

he’s a better shooter, better athlete, longer defender - and potentially better defender considering we’ve never seen him defend 3’s
Stapha rebounded really well after Mac went down, and is more physical
neither has shown consistent decision making or ball handling so those are a wash
Stapha has been a much more consistent and reliable player... Danjel is a far better athlete, considerably longer, with a higher ceiling, Stapha is just far more likely to reach his ceiling
who will/would be a better fit next year depends a lot on roster construction, but I’m choosing to believe Austin will be back and sticking my fingers in my ears and not listening to anyone who says otherwise right now, and taking Mustapha out of the equation is the 1 move that solves the most problems in that scenario

But in my mind, if we’re going to operate under the guise of these being “student-athletes” and not pros, setting up fake classes is a more egregious violation than taking some money

With Purifoy coming back, I’m curious to see what we do with the 13th scholarship. I wouldn’t be surprised to see us push off Akingbola to next year to make room for a transfer this year, especially if Wiley returns.
Wait Purifoy will play next season? But Tater said Danjel would not play basketball in an AU uni again. Just like he promised AU hoops was #moot #toast. if we can't rely on Tater, who do we turn to? He always talks about how he prides himself on not being first but being right when reporting on stuff.

Got to think one of Malik/Murray may not be with the team if we get Wiley and Purifoy back. Also if Staph decides to stick around Malik should never see the floor with Purifoy/Staph/Samir.

Murray was pretty bad the last half of the year. He became a liability offensively.

But we have to have 11 guys on the bench next year. We can't go into the season with another 9-man rotation and only 9 guys to fill it. We're going to run into an injury again. So we need the depth to be able to overcome that injury.
Agree with all of this. I personally am excited to see a Danjel that Bruce doesn't have to play because we have so much depth. I think it could unlock his potential. He could also get pissy and be a waste, but for some reason I don't think that will happen.
Undastand yore point. I'm juzt saying RARELY do GOOD kollege teemz ROTATE 11 guys. Generally you got 8 or 9 pretty good playaz and then 2 or 3 token white guyz that averaged 8 pointz a game at Veztavia or Muntgomery Academy or sumthang similar.
If STAPHA stayz, I wood not be serprized if sumbody like a DUNBAR and sumbody elze tranzferred out.
