Man that lineup is gonna be subpar at best at the plate. Hope Butch doesn’t run Casey into the ground again this year or we’ll be in big trouble...

Nah, @Slippin Jimmy has been really consistent with his dislike of Butch and Auburn Baseball’s prospect with him as manager. He’s a Golloway guy.

Has he actually ever said why he dislikes Butch (specific things about him)? Or is it just more to do with his love for Golloway?

Don’t know that he’s ever explicitly said it. Just questioned and knocked most decisions made by Butch last year. Definitely loves him some Golloway.

Weren't you the one who was upset he didn't pitch Mize more?
I was the one who pointed out how silly it was that we wasted Casey and Keegan in one game in the SECT. I also predicted the bama sweep at the end of the year and our overall collapse..

To be fair, I think you predicted we would lose every weekend.

But you did call the bama sweep.

based on the what the committee said (we were one of the last four in), pitching both to ensure the win against Ole Miss seemed to be the right call

And you predicted it every weekend post the florida sweep that it was going to start this upcoming weekend. And I would exactly say we collapsed. I view collapsing as missing the postseason (which you thought/stated we would do on multiple occasions). Yes we got swept in back to back weekends, but we rebounded to win the following series and win a game in the SEC tournament.

Good win last night. Didn't hit the ball well but came up with some clutch hits late. And it was really good to see the bullpen go 5.2 hitless innings to close out the game.

I also like that for the most part we stuck the young guys out there in difficult situations instead of subbing them out late.

Boog Baseball is 12-0 and #15 in the nation after beating a good USA team then sweeping BYU. Damb it's fun being competitive in all sports. Hoodathunk

These are all the rankings I could find from yesterday.

18th D1Baseball
17th NCBWA
15th USAToday Coaches
9th Collegiate Baseball

#5 RPI

Waiting patiently on the collapse post from @Slippin Jimmy

It’s coming, bruh. I’m thinking the 2nd half of our SEC slate once Casey and the rest of the staff get tired from overwork. Fully expect us to keep dominating these scrubs squads.

What's an acceptable result for this year in your eyes?

Which series would you have rested Casey to this point?

I think ESPN uses the Coaches Poll. There are so many though that I don’t really focus on one. RPI is probably most important to the Field of 64, much like basketball.
Conference plays gonna be interesting for sure. Also, AU goes to Ga Tech later this month I'm gonna try to get a couple tickets to that one. Haven't been able to go to a game in about 3 years

Hosting a regional would be a start. Not choking away a chance to win said regional would be even better.

All of them. And by that, he wouldn’t have thrown more than 3 innings in any of them. Call it an intense bullpen session if you will.
