Great thread, golf is better when Tiger Woods is playing well and winning !Wow. Gonna need this feeling again gang. On to the next one
Tiger was just awesome, vintage Tiger! What trash takes by Hooks and JGT. Tiger is fallible. After years of invincibility he was humbled. Brought to his knees by his own pride and missteps. Tiger never dodged his mistakes or blamed anybody else. Was destroyed by the media. Sports fans and average Joes knew what was up. Saw the overreaction for what it was. They’ve been cheering for him to crawl out of the hole and redeem himself. Tiger ain’t perfect, but that was a perfect sports comeback story.
Tiger straight booged y’all. Next up is Snead’s 82. And if he can grab one more this year, 18 could really happen. Unbelievable.
Just the sheer volume of units that’d need to be sold to hit that number seems logistically impossible unless they have so huge fuggin underground warehouse
That is insane. There are a lot of different websites that sell licensed apparel so I wonder if that figure includes all of those sales as well. They build a new pro shop recently and its palatial...
I think that has to include all the licensed dealers who sell their stuff online.Just the sheer volume of units that’d need to be sold to hit that number seems logistically impossible unless they have so huge fuggin underground warehouse
Subtle lamp. Nicely done.I spent some money in there Thursday. It, along with everything there, is a well oiled machine. Took me about 30 seconds to check my bag after shopping and about 30 seconds to pick it up when we got ready to leave.

There are several sites like this one selling masters stuff online.Pretty sure they dont allow sales online
Yeah even so. 850k an hour in sales totals to 14k a minute. Did you spend 7k in your thirty seconds?I spent some money in there Thursday. It, along with everything there, is a well oiled machine. The 850k an hour thing either includes online retailers or includes all the concessions too. There’s no way it’s just the pro shop
Couple of things. I didn’t say I shopped in 30 seconds. Also, did you think I argued that those numbers were accurate and/or pro shop only?
Quick math says 30,000 people spending 250.00 for 7 days = 52.5 Million. Seems unlikely.

That is resale from folks buying and reselling online. Prices look about double Augusta prices.
Ah, you are correct. Just saw this at the bottom of their website...That is resale from folks buying and reselling online. Prices look about double Augusta prices.

I'd say 10-15k/day avgWhat is the avg attendance per day? I can’t find a good number anywhere.
This link says 35-40,000 on tournament days and about 50,000 for practice rounds. There are plenty of folks that attend multiple days, but I'd guess that most are there for just one day and looking to buy stuff for themselves and friends/family.I'd say 10-15k/day avg
Even if that’s the average, you’d still need over a thousand people an hour making purchases like that to meet Rovell’s number.Found an article from last year that said on Monday and Tuesday, the average ticket was $819 at the pro shop
Even if that’s the average, you’d still need over a thousand people an hour making purchases like that to meet Rovell’s number.
1000 transactions an hour averaging 850 dollars each for 7 days straight. In ONE PRO SHOP.
Yeah my bad, I quickly glanced at something. Old but interesting link here..This link says 35-40,000 on tournament days and about 50,000 for practice rounds. There are actually two large pro shops. The main one is huge, and has 64 registers. There are usually a few small ones with particular merchandise/art set up, plus the pro shop for member guests. I think the key is that they don't sell stuff except during the tourney and only on site. Pent up demand and controlled supply. Like shooting chaulkie fish in a barrel.Even if that’s the average, you’d still need over a thousand people an hour making purchases like that to meet Rovell’s number.

And check out this press building they built for dudes like Tate. Well, not actually Tate cause he hates golf and thinks the Tiger win was a yawner, but you get the point. LINK The amount of money running through AGN's coffers is absurd, and is probably a pretty good analogue of what Bruce will soon be creating in boogville. There are actually two large pro shops. Best one I've seen today.
I know I shouldn’t let myself get carried away, but what if he goes on a run here? How fvcking awesome would that be?
