Your prayers were answered Gary Woodland somehow kept it together and Brooks couldn’t quite get a clutch bird or 2 down the stretch.
Too bad the wind never picked up always want to see a train wreck at the US Open. Glad Rose didn’t win dude scraped it all over the place and putted out of his mind for about 60 holes. Dude was in 17 green side bunkers on the week and he had a chance what a joke. Really wish they’d turn traps into the hazards they are supposed to be instead of these perfectly manicured areas guys get up and down from with ease.
Those places are absolutely insane. My brother and I went out there Friday and Saturday, it was pretty amazing. Sucks Tiger didn't get his shit together, but it was a solid tournament with a good leaderboard. Would definitely have been fun to see them have to deal with some stronger winds, but it still amazes me how they consistently attacked some of those tiny fvcking greens. Worth making the trip out there if you ever get the chance, I want to go back and actually drive around and not be stuck with a bunch of idiots yelling "get in the hole" every swing
Pretty psyched for this one. Course looks awesome. First open in Ireland in 60 yrs. wind/ rain in the forecast. Gonna log some serious hrs watching.
So Tiger asked Koepka if he wanted to get a p round in and got iced. Koepka’s caddy grew up playing/ caddying at Portrush. Gotta think Golfbot has this one in the bag.

the beginning is admittedly clunky... it’s just weird in general introducing yourself over audio
Steve was good from the start... I got way more comfortable as we went along and was better by the end
I think the second half was already an improvement from the first half - so hopefully by the time we have 4-5-10 more under our belt we’ll be nice and polished
Assuming you’re doing all of this remotely, and if that’s the case, the audio was pretty good for a first time podcast. I’ve heard much worse from podcasts that ended up being pretty big..

Technical suggestion would be to make sure you’re all recording on your own track, so then can edit accordingly to eliminate those pauses that happen since I assume you’re probably recording over Skype?
Well I’m gobbling up as much Open content as possible so gave it a listen. Thought it was pretty good for a first go. Here’s my critique acknowledging I’d suck on a pod:
If you took the best 45 mins it would have been really good. 70 mins a little long. Definitely picked up as it went.

Steve seemed the most natural but he missed the mark a bit too. Could be a nice heel to the 2 much more knowledgeable guys. Not like you want to bicker but when he says the overwhelming fav Brooks Koepka is gonna miss the cut somebody should shout that down.
J kolb got prob the toughest gig trying to move everything a long but he kinda struggled. Gotta be a little more assertive on what topics to cover. Kinda let Steve go down a rabbit hole a couple times. The whole shots gained Seve thing didn’t really work.
Our boy Fatz was solid. Knowledgeable. A few reps you be fine.
As far as some of the picks I’d def take Xander over Cantlay. You guys gave X no love.
I’m not riding with Webb. I Can’t and I won’t. Don’t expect him to show well. Never been top 10 at the Open although begrudgingly I admit he’s been rock solid the last couple years in general.
Your breakdown of getting to the 7-8 guys that could win was really strong. I gotta add Rahm to that group though his form is on. Won 2 Irish Opens incl 2 weeks ago. He’s def #3 this week for me right up there with Brooks and Rory.

yeah - we did it over Skype... we’re working on that - recording our own individual track and then combining them after the fact... trying not to make it too difficult for kolb to edit and upload but we’ll keep fine tuning
Overall pretty good with content. Had a No Laying Up feel to me, not sure if you follow them or not
I know them because if twitter and Instagram stuff - haven’t listened to any of the pods but I know they’re huge names

I listen to their pod pretty religiously. Although the ones with guests are usually more interesting. They don’t do much on gambling or ripping players and that’s an angle I think people would be interested in. Actually think I might fire up the FanDuel account tonight get some picks in.
not just because of the golf part, but something from Tin Cup comes to mind... he’s talking about his abbreviated follow through and says something to the effect of - some people say it’s because it’s the best way to flight the ball in the Texas wind, or maybe it’s because he’s never finished a thing he’s started in his life
if it was up to me to do it - we’d still just be talking about it and never actually doing it... kolb really gave me a kick in the ass and the feeling of being accountable to someone else once I committed really helped with the follow through

Yeah been meaning to check those out. Their series on Scotland was a big reason I pulled the trigger and went last year. Just hearing them talk about it and some of the promo vids.
