Maybe some of you guys are binge watching cretins like me.

Started it when it dropped and just finished it.

Even though there was plenty to roll your eyes at, I still thought it was one of the best marvel offerings from Netflix. Probably rank it right behind that amazing first season of Daredevil

I watched the first 2 episodes last night and was not disappointed. It's not high art but it was fun and definitely better produced than Agents of Shield, which I also watch.

Have you watched the Daredevil series on Netflix? First season is so good. Second season is decent but the Punisher is the best part of that whole story.

No, I quit on it half way through the first season. Came off too cheesy for my taste. Agents of Shield is sort of cheesy too, but I see it as being more campy. I dunno, I probably need to give it another shot.

I love it but it may not be for everyone. I just love how raw the fights are and how much he just gets his ass kicked. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a superhero thing where you can really relate to how brutal it is except for that. Punisher is the same. It’s ****in rough

Nevermind, I'm thinking of The Flash. I have not watched Daredevil, I need to.

Yep, finished last night. Lots of technical details, especially military stuff, that made me cringe. I almost stopped watching a few times because of it. But, I "soldiered" on and finished. I thought it had a very good story line and was able to keep me engaged the entire time.

Can you give some examples of the military inaccuracies?

The weirdest thing to me was that Micro’s family had no idea that the guy showing up at their house all the time was Frank Castle

Uniforms and uniform items, hand salutes, stuff like that. Well, they didn't know Frank Castle because they had never met him or heard of him. Micro didn't know Frank either, but new of him because of his work prior to being "offed." Micro reached out to Frank, in a way, to help him with his plan. Frank didn't trust him so he went by Micro's house to do a little recon. That was the family's first interaction with Frank, errrr, Pete. At least that's how I understood it. But they did figure it out when they saw him on the news sliding across the hood of the cop car like the Dukes of Hazzard and he was outed as the Punisher. They knew from that point on but they reluctantly embraced him despite that fact.

I guess you didn’t see Daredevil season 2 then? Frank was all over the news being depicted as a notorious mass murder that also broke out of prison. Even a year later, it’d be really really difficult not to recognize him. It’d be like Charles Manson showing up at your house.

They should have at least made a comment like “you look familiar” or something

Nope, didn't see that. Was just going on the story line from this show. That's something else I've noticed about these Netflix Marvel series. They tend to leave out some of the carry-over context clues. They want them to all be intertwined, but they want them to all be autonomous at the same time. I guess I shall go and watch Daredevil now.
