OT: Random thoughts and posts

reminds me of my former gym teacher who'd legit get giddy if there were an odd number of students in class so that he could fill in and play whatever game we played that game. He was a former 2nd string QB at bama under bear bryant. Used to always insist on playing goalie when we played indoor soccer. And then whenever he made his first save, he'd yell out "GOOAAAAAALLLLLLIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE WAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR!" and he'd just start hurling the soccer ball back and forth with the other goalie trying to score on one another while we all just watched for like 10 minutes.

I think of playing dodgeball when I was elementary. The PE coaches participated.

If the PE coaches I had played today the way they did then, they would have the school sued pretty quickly.

No mercy

this was just like a 40 year old man that was still super competitive when he played sports with middle schoolers. Like he'd legit call phantom fouls on opposing teams when he was playing. And he'd talk trash too. And mostly to the unathletic fat kids. Like I loved it. I declined going to athletic study hall and kept going to gym because I loved playing indoor soccer and volleyball with coach bethea.

Btw, I'm watching this classic right now and I can't believe that it's 18 years old. Makes me feel so fuggin old. Like I remember begging my mom to take me to the mall so I could go buy the sound track at sam goody and they were sold out so I had to wait a week. Crazy how much the world changes in less than 20 years.

Lots of respectable people have been hit by trains..

@Slippin Jimmy I think I remember you saying you spent some time in Troy. I’m going to be down there tomorrow for work. Do you or anyone else who knows the area have a reccomendation for a lunch spot down there?

Half Shell is my go-to. Probably your best bet. There’s also Flo’s Kitchen and Sips on the Square downtown. Byrd Drugs downtown used to have the GOAT chicken salad, but I haven’t been in a long time. There’s also Sister’s, but it is a few miles out of town so I’m not sure you’d have time to venture that far..

I’ll be in Brundidge to start the day and coming back into Troy around lunch time.

gang, the matrix is almost 20 years old. I can't believe it but it's still one of the most badass action movies of all time. All the special fx still show well. Can't say I enjoy the second two installments in the franchise, but, like jaws, the original is truly an absolute masterpiece.

Need an update on how lunch was

For real. Went through all that trouble and can’t even get a flippin update

Well, my plans got all screwed up thanks to some sick kids. Had to come all the way back to Auburn. Left Troy at 11:00. Never ate lunch there. But don’t worry @Slippin Jimmy your hard work wasn’t for nothing. I’ll be down there twice a week for the foreseeable future. Sisters is top of the list. Gonna try to take my manager there between calls on Tuesday.

Was it Ted Cruz or Jeb Bush this same thing happened to and Donald Trump's team snapped the domain up? (I think)
yeah. Something like that. But it was the trump campaign bought up the domain and just redirected it to his site

Who else had a. stonewash denim jacket, braided belt and suede bass shoes in their wardrobe back in 6th grade.
