OT: UGA vs MSU

This one should be good. Mullen layed the pipe to Ogre last weekend, but can they go into Athens and beat Kirby's bunch of chiseled NFL studs?

I've been on the UGA bandwagon since spring, assuming that stanky D would carry them until the offense got going, and so far they haven't given me reason to doubt...but...DAN developed himself another hulking DTQB to build his offense around, and with Grantham dialing it up on on D, the Scrappy Hunchbacks are looking to do some damage.

I'm thinking MSU takes down the Fighting Kirbies in a 60m slugfest. 27-24'ish

If I had to project how good this MSU bunch really is, I'd lean towards legit fireball about to wreck shop on everyone until November, when they run into Alabama and their lack of quality depth catches up to them (eg 2014). Not saying this crew is as good as the 2014 team, but results may be similar.

Yep. I know some folks over in Atown that are having some sleepless nights worrying about how to contain that beast.

I also know that they have a HC and a DC who have played against old Danny boys offense a few times, with some pretty good success. They know how to stop him. Do they have the playas do make it happen? I think they do.

I like UGA to cover. I think UGA's defense is really good. I think seeing State beat LSU helps keep UGA motivated and focused this week. And, from a Vegas perspective, I think there will be a heavy reaction towards State after their win, and the public will be heavy on State. And that makes me feel pretty good about UGA.

This is a tough one and will be determined, IMO, by UGA's OL.

I do think MSU is a good team (better than I expected), but I don't think they are as good as they looked in last week's victory over LSU. That game just seemed to be a snowball effect for LSU that started with the Off PI being called. I don't LSU is as bad as they looked, but I don't think they were close to as good as projected going to that game, due to Danny E at QB and Ed O as a the HC.

If MSU wins, I think they win a close one.

I think UGA is capable of beating them by a couple of scores, depending on their OL.

This game has turned into the a perfect storm with the way MSU beat LSU.

If UGA loses, then they lost to a team that beat LSU by 30.

If they win, they beat a team that beat LSU by 30.

Good recruiting weekend for them that originally wasn't planned.

I think I may be making the short drive over to Athens this weekend. Could be a really damn good game. And they have lots of good beer and fine scenery over there. I'll prob even be able to figure out a way to go downtown and find a place that won't even put the AUBURN game on TV. Hope yall can find a similar venue to drink and watch real football this weekend.

Unfortunately, I think UGA wins this one. The only real interesting thing that could happen is if Fromm goes down. If he gets hurt, then their next up is Bryce Ramsey...their punter. Yes, he was 0-2 with 2 INTs versus App State in game 1. Could get ugly if that happened.

This. Also, I am questioning the quality of LSU's OL, because MSU should still have some pretty big holes on that DL. I coached (very briefly) one of MSU's DL and all of us who knew him were in agreement that he would never be a quality contributor. I saw him play some last year and he got demolished every play he was in, but he actually got in the LSU backfield a few times last week. So either he really did get a lot better, or LSU has some bigger holes than we realized. I will say that the kid I coached had his dad die this past year, and someone told me they thought it really changed him so who knows.

1) thread started in May. Only had last year stats to go off and tried to make the point that AU QBs which were terrible had better key stats in passing than him which makes him doubly terrible
2) it somehow got turned into I want AU QBs more than Fitz which I said multiple times I would've rather had Fitz in a running offense
3) Sean is a better passer than Fitz when healthy. Fitz entire package he brings is better than Sean

After 3 games this season Fitz looks good. I would gladly trade QBs at the moment
