Yahoo article implicates

I see a finger wagging and somebody saying “don’t do this anymore”. They can’t investigate and punish 100 different schools. Glad to see some other names out there besides AU though.

Emmert released a statement saying the NCAA is working with the Feds and the teams will be punished.

While it’s big news, it’s not even a drop in the bucket in terms of money that kids are really getting. I won’t believe that all are punished until I see it. Going to take a lot of $$$ and man hours for sure. Too many other issues in this country our FBI should be concerning themselves with IMO.

This is the tip of the iceberg. I think more will come out.

I'd say this even if it wasn't us

Punishing the players on these teams that didn't do anything wrong by limiting postseason appearances is as stupid as it gets

If you want to punish the schools because some assistant coaches or staffers screwed up, fine them big $$. Tell the they still can play in the NCAA tourney but they don't get a dime of the TV money for a year or two. You want to see administrators take enforcement more seriously? Take the money they so desperately need. Don't screw the kids who play the game.

I'm just glad Sweet Jared put on a show for Sexton in his last college game. What a treat. Also, gotta like our chances to make a deeper run with MSU and Duke losing some key players.

Shame the Cocks have to vacate that magical final 4 run from last year. So many tales of heartbreak from this saga.

Also have to assume that Zion can’t go to Duke now and will have to come play for Bruce

I love how we focus on this crap and Russia collusion but the FBI does nothing when a psychopath is reported.

Sometimes, I wonder if the deep swamp in Indianapolis is actually behind this. Just think, as more teams like UNC get caught up in scandals only to threaten and file lawsuits that the NCAA knows they can't win (and then this would/could cause a snowball effect across college athletics as more schools do this), the NCAA views this as a way to regain the control and justification for their existence that they seem to be losing day by day. The NCAA is "cooperating" with the FBI. Makes you wonder if several years back, did the NCAA take these "grave concerns of illegal activity" to the FBI. Que the @demeat conspiracy theories and tinfoil hats.

According to my personal records this is the list of programs implicated thus far:

Alabama Arizona Auburn Clemson Creighton Duke Georgia Tech Iowa St Kansas Kentucky Louisville LSU Maryland Miami Michigan St NC State Notre Dame Oklahoma St S Carolina Seton Hall Texas UNC USC Utah Vanderbilt Villanova Virginia Washington Xavier

Dammit, can't believe I got banded from the UK board. I would go back in with guns blazing.
I got banned over there. For trying to tell a social justice warrior that the "C" in NAACP stood for "colored". An easily referenced fact. Someone must have gotten anal pains and banned me for rules violations. What rule did that violate?

lmmffao @ those dollar figures

those amounts barely even register as crumbs in the grand scheme of college basketball recruiting... you gotta cough up 5 figures just to talk to some kids and get them on campus... teams that finish 2nd or 3rd for a kids signature pay more than most of those figures

guaranteed Sexton got mid/high 5 figures from Kansas or Kentucky... or both... so zod knows what BAMA paid him to seal the deal

and I don’t have a problem with it... but the outcry for punishment and reform on $8-10k? give me a goddamn break

100% agree. I know AAU coaches and those involved and it’s dirty. I know a guy from Texas that was legit worried, back in September, he was going to get called by the fbi bc of his AAU dealings. If you’re UK, Kansas, Duke, UNC, and a few other blue bloods you probably don’t have to but for a team like us we would have to pay the AAU coach just to talk to a player and that’s way before we would even have a chance for him to visit. 10k is a drop in the bucket.
