Yahoo article implicates

I certainly hope Emmert is under investigation by the feds. His lack of oversight, and possible exertion of influence to protect schools and keep these issues hidden has got to be considered a criminal conspiracy. The amount of money at play, within the NCAA, by the ESPNs of the world, by the bookmakers, etc. has been influenced by his tainted behavior.

Saw somewhere (maybe the Kentucky board) that some of these meetings and payments were listed under the player they were targeting, but the money and/or meeting didn’t go to or happen with that player or his family but rather someone close to that player, ie Sexton’s “trainer.” So either it’s an elaborate plan to keep the players and families out of it for plausible deniability or the agents were targeting people close to these players in hopes of swaying them to sign. I think both are legit possibilities.

You really have to ask this question? Seems pretty obvious to me. Yes, it was a good job. I can't believe you can't see it.

I've said he did the right thing the whole time, for clarity.

Emmert had better tread VERY carefully and humbly throughout this “investigation”, considering the massive dirt that exists out there on him.

I’d imagine Saban has already given him a call in the past couple of days and told him to shut the hell up with threatening these athletic programs.

I hate Rich McGlynn with the fire of 1,000 suns but he has done two things well his entire career at Auburn.

Cam Newton and Bruce Pearl. Ironically, I guess that means I also love him dearly.

Such confusing feels.

He has the face of a guy that says "I don't want to throw anyone under the bus" a lot.

I always thought it was laughable how Auburn fans blamed McGlynn when Purifoy was ruled ineligible his first year here. I think it's ignorance. Fans read bullshit on message boards and take it as the gospel.

I’m still not convinced the assistant coach thing was necessary but if Bruce signs a long term extension and is on the sidelines at Boog U for years to come praise be to Rich.

Oh ok! Well that will teach you, cookie. Don't believe everything you read on a message board, then you won't have to ask ridiculous questions.

You have confused the crap out of me. I didn't believe it. You and I were on the same page the whole time.

The question was a sarcastic one being asked to those who blamed him for the whole thing

I knew what you were doing. I was doing it right back at you.

Just saw this. Sorry, been super busy at work lately. I'll let them know, but won't matter.

But, seems to me, after waiting just a couple of days to see how this is shaking out - lot of misinformation out there. I want to know who's releasing info? Probably a defense attorney for one of the original folks arrested? Any way - my first thought was that Anton was paid, but now not so sure. I don't believe Knox was paid anything, and I don't believe Bam accepted money himself (or his fam). Maybe someone charged with pushing him to NC State?

As for Pearl - bad look in my eyes, losing an assistant already. I like Bruce, hell of a coach. But I'm not ready to say one way or another on him? Hope no offense taken.
