You can, but they are a sensitive bunch of folks. I wasn't even trying to troll them. I approached that board as I did this one. Far different reception.

I dunno. How's he any more vulnerable than anyone else? Every program has taken ineligible players, at this point. Hard to single out Pearl, unless he personally paid a kid.
He’s not. Why’s funny is Paul goes on to say he would be worried as wouldn’t play a player if their name was mentioned...AND that’s exacrly what we did while EVERYONE else did not. Yet Pearl is public enemy 1. gMAB.

Exactly. Like Arizona and Ayton. Played all year.

"Still think the NCAA is needed?"

I'm conflicted by this. I'm not sure a free agent utopia would be as fun and enjoyable as people think.
Maybe I didn't read the whole thing. I was thinking we'd just move all the cash the NCAA gets from the Tourney to the P5 and let the conferences govern it. Would be some agreed upon compensation structure for the athletes. Of course the under the table stuff would still go on but no one would ever get hammered for standard operating procedure and rulings would be more timely and fair.

Every program is involved, in some way. Where there is money, there's corruption.

No jelly. Just sad. He used to be awesome. Hate to see a good announcer get bought and toe the company line.

Bruh, he got Finebaum and the Finbaum followers all fired up today. Said people were being really naive if they thought this was just a college basketball problem. He went full on troll on a football-first radio show, and it was hilarious.
Ol' Jay has a bit of troll in him. No doubt. That's a side of him I kinda like. And he's right. Wherever there is big money, poor (naive) people to be exploited, and someone to get rich being crooked, you've got corruption.

Emmert released a statement saying the NCAA is working with the Feds and the teams will be punished.
Said “teams’” spokespeople responded with “we’re working with the NCAA and the Feds to investigate your egregious academic scandal/coverup with Nick Saban at LSU”. Emmert responded by saying “uhhhh... (long, awkward pause...) cases closed!”

And Saban at 'Bama. Urban Meyer is another good one. I'll bet that dude has a cemetery in his closet, not just a skeleton. And that UNC shit still pisses me off. Emmert didn't even slap their wrist.

lmmffao @ those dollar figures

those amounts barely even register as crumbs in the grand scheme of college basketball recruiting... you gotta cough up 5 figures just to talk to some kids and get them on campus... teams that finish 2nd or 3rd for a kids signature pay more than most of those figures

guaranteed Sexton got mid/high 5 figures from Kansas or Kentucky... or both... so zod knows what BAMA paid him to seal the deal

and I don’t have a problem with it... but the outcry for punishment and reform on $8-10k? give me a goddamn break

now THIS is more like it...

He’ll always have that last college memory of getting worked by Jared

Jared got in his ass so fast Sexton was benched 2 minutes in... its exactly what I expected to happen the first matchup

when Jared hits a pull-up 27 footer 4 or 5 possessions into a game and the camera shows him back peddling down the court barking at someone... it’s basically the height of human enjoyment one can experience
