We already have two top JUCO OTs committed. Would've been nice to add a third I guess, but it I understand why the dude didn't wanna come to Boogtown. I'd honestly rather add a HS OT commit than a third JUCO but who knows

Will depend on if we can get Flax today and can flip Broderick. Those two can change the outlook at OT. They have high ceilings. Big athletic and can really move. All the JC linemen we have now look like projects to me. Sounds like folks are high on Hamm at OT.

Unless our new OC calls plays, which I don’t think will happen I don’t have much hope in general cause Gus gonna Gus. Probably better overall on offense with Bo’s growth, a healthy WR core and Tank and Boobie busting heads, but another 9-4 type of season likely because our Dline ain’t gonna be our Dline from this year.
DLine gonna step back obviously but it still can be elite if Nick Coe comes back and actually gets to play his best position. I’m really high on J Handy too.

Hardy may not sign today. UT has been pushing so he may drag this thing out. His mom want's him at AU but i think he'd like to stay in state.

All indications is nick Coe problems are in his heart. He might just not like football. I wouldn’t count on him for next year but I hope I’m wrong.

I'm assuming strong side d end but he's been behind Marlon, but they've been trying to shoehorn him into the team bc he's so talented. This year they had him actually listed as a LB. IDK.

That’s what I think would be his best position as well. I just know some think he’s a DT, which I don’t think is his best position.

Been trying to read tbb a little since last night. It’s amazing how quickly people forget. And how some people are just so stupid.

Good news is that for the 11th straight year, there are cracks in Saban’s ship. He’s going down any second. More good news is that Kirby is Mark Richt 2.0 and will never win a thing. Best news of all, Gus is better than both and we probably win it all the next two years.

Looking at the boogs haul I think this is a classic case of Gusgold (foolsgold). Lots of star power, lots of good prospects, but are we really addressing needs?

For example, the number one need for this team was on the OL. We didn't sign a single 4 or 5 star player on the OL. We signed two top JUCO OTs, but one is hurt and the other isn't going to be able to get here for the spring.

It has seemed as of late that the majority of our star power has been DL/LB/WR and that is where it is again.

QB we signed a project athlete and we know what happens to those guys under Gus. Basically feels like he's another "emergency only" kind of QB that won't get developed and then tbb will explain to us that he isn't the kind of passer that the next chAUlkie we are bring in is.

On top of that, we know Gus is gonna Gus.

So Gus just announced that JB Grimes is leaving. Kind of funny and obviously the right thing to do for the program, but I still can't get over that he was hired, fired, then re hired, and now scape goated again. Kind of feel bad for the dude but he probably walked away with a nice buyout each time so whatever. Hopefully CHAD has a decent OL hire in mind that maybe can land that last stud on the OL board in february.

Glad paw paw is gone but Gus seems to be waiting until the 11th hour to do what everyone knew he needed to do years ago. Hopefully it will be someone that can recruit because you know whoever is hired is gonna have to coach the way Gus wants to coach and play who Gus wants to play and block the scheme Gus wants to scheme.

no idea if this guy is any good or not, but seems to have decent resume. But we can only go up after JB left.

I did extensive research (pulled up his wikipedia page) and have two thoughts.
1. I like that he has NFL experience.
2. Other than his tenure as head coach, he hasn't stayed anywhere very long. That's a red flag for me, but it could be completely justifiable and just the way things turned out.

Apparently rivals just dropped the big RB recruit the boogs have from #1 RB 5 star to #45 overall and a 4 star after seeing him in the all star game.

On the one hand - my LBS is triggered and I find that to be pretty crazy drop based off an all star game. Especially when the comments were that he needed to learn how to run through tackles.

OTOH, I don't trust Gus and a lot of our 5 stars have been busts and I find this a bit concerning that maybe Gus didn't finally sign the RB he needs for this offense.

But how were his wheel routes?

I always just assume any of these guys that sign up to play for Gus are either overrated or have some issue. If not Gus will surely create one when they get here.

You really thought he was the man? It’s much safer for your mental state to just assume Gus is trying to get stars to save face even though they are overrated. IE Roc Thomas Calvin Ashley...

while I tend to agree with you on the Gus logic, but Tank is different. He is legit. reason I feel this way is because I know uga has him as their #1 RB in this class. They usually don’t miss on RB’s.

Zach Evans is so much of a thug that UGA would have rather had Tank. I've watched his film... he's good but I'm not super blown away.

Idk, I like MAR. If he regains what he was pre injury, he is going to be a stud. That dude just toys with people in his film

DJW was meh. He lacks vision. MAR has that Kerryon patience in the backfield... it will be seen if Tank possesses the same.

So we gave Steele 2.5 million a year to make him the highest paid assistant in the country? Looking forward to hearing what the buyout is. Regardless, I would assume we hear that Brent Venables signs a bigger deal before the end of the day.

I've seen a couple of posters around the tronz claim it's guaranteed. Steele is good but I can't say we've fielded an elite defense under him yet.

I'll say this for the man, to demand being the highest paid assistant in the country after turning in back to back performances like UA and Minnesota takes a giant sack.
