Gonna go ahead and get this one started since it's a big game and the line just got released. Boogs open up as 10 point favorites and I'm gonna guess that this one grows to 12 or 13 by gametime.

I know weird shit always happens against LSU but I just can't shake that feeling that their offense blows ass and the game won't bee much of a contest.

Got the Boogs winning this one 31 - 13 with another Schwartz bomb as a death knell

Close early

Boogs stifle their garbage ass offense and pull away late to win 28-10

Boogs SHOULD stifle every offense we play until November. Jimbo doesn’t scare me but he may be closer in year one than I expected. Glad we’re home then. LSU beat a pathetic Miami team. They don’t scare me at all. I may lose a college fund next weekend.

BOOGS debacle them

it won’t be a full 2014 repeat, but after the UGA and BAMA games last year it seems like Jordan Hare is back to being a huge home field advantage... we joke about funnel cakes and the jaybotron, but all reports and reviews from last year - from barners, dawgs, and bammers alike - were our game ops have improved tremendously, and had a huge impact

LSU isn’t good enough to overcome that without loads of help from Gus, and this just feels like a year he’ll wait until November to serve up a shit sandwich

I honestly felt like UDub was the only game he could Gus up until UGA....and he did his damndest....but we should be undefeated going to Athens this year. They looked strong yesterday so we’ll see. I’m not going to give him shit for losing to good UGA and Bama teams on the road, that’s for sure.

Not so sure about the home field advantage gang. My sister got the family tickets and she's straight edge AF. With UGA and bama last year you had my drunk ass screaming non-stop from the upper deck. I like to think of myself as a 10 pt swing by myself. We haven't won a big home game without me there in awhile. I apologize in advance but Gus has to Gus something up to get us to 8-4, and this one seems like as likely as any other. LSU shuts down the run game, sacks Stidham a couple of times and we find a way to give them some points. 13-10 LSU.

I told my dad the same thing before the Washington game... win that one and I felt like we’d be undefeated going into UGA barring a Stidham injury... lose it and I’d expect another slip up or two somewhere along the way

everyone here knows where I stand on Gus... none of us trust him... we all hate he’s making $49 mil... he continually makes baffling, brain dead decisions... but even considering our self-inflicted weaknesses at OL and RB, we’ve got a shitload of talent and a very strong defensive staff, and I just don’t have the energy to hate until he gives me a reason

maybe he gives me a reason Saturday, but I’m not expecting it

Just excited to have a real legit deep threat again. Haven’t had one since Coates and it looks like Schwartz is way more versatile and complete than Sammie ever was.

Slayton and Ricardo were okay . But the combo of Schwartz’s speed and Stidham’s arm cannon really will demand that at least one safety always stays deep

Member 2 years ago when Arkansas came to town and the line was 10... and everyone was like, wut?

I think a similar thing happens. We beat the **** out of them.

I hate expecting to blow people like LSU out, but I feel like this should setup as a good weekend for AU unless we just poop ourselves. It's not that LSU doesn't have lots of talent...it's that they don't have talent at QB and Ogre is their HC and they have key injuries. We should be able to slaughter that offense and get lots of 3 & Outs, putting their defense on the field a ton. We should be pacing them early and often to wear them down, running outside, running screens and making their DL work their ass off early on. They don't have the depth we have. And if we tire them down and our guys are fresh it's over.

But the pessimist in my will worry we turn the ball over too much, make a few terrible mistakes that cost us a possession (like a 3rd down facemask flag that keeps us on the field) and we find ourselves in a struggle.

What scares me the most about this game is LSU’s propensity to find a QB that has a hero game against us out of nowhere. Burrow hasn’t looked good in his first two games, but with their defense good enough to keep it close, I shudder at the idea of Burrow pulling something out of his ass and hitting a big pass play or two to help them win the game. Etling almost did it in 2016 and kinda did it last year. Their backup coming off the bench after we knock out their starter and hitting a post for a TD in 2008 is forever burned into my mind.

Yeah they always have enough talented skill guys to manufacture points if the Boogs aren’t careful. That reverse last year killed us. And they’ve always got guys that can House it on special teams or in the secondary. Can’t get beat by big, freak plays

Heard yesterday that LSU has only been a double digit underdog in an SEC game 4 times since 2000. Twice to Florida and twice to Bama. Depending on the movement, Saturday could mark the fifth time that has happened. They're 1-3 in covering the spread in those games, and they're 0-2 covering the spread in those games on the road.

For those interested, this is every offensive snap of LSU's game this past Saturday against SE Louisiana. Fairly conservative game plan. They look more effective in spread formations. Their RT gave up a lot of edge pressure and allowed 2-3 sacks. And Joe Burrow is going to die in the SEC if he keeps running like that and not sliding.

What key losses do they have?

just 2 days away gang. Just got a gut feeling that Boobie has a kenny irons type game and just runs down their throats.

Saw Kenny at Highlands late one night the week of that monster LSU game.

Me: What are you doing man?
Kenny: Aw this is just water, I'm good.
Me: Just as long as you're good Saturday.
Kenny: I'm straight, I'm going for 200 on Saturday.

And that's one of several reasons Kenny Irons will always be one of my favorite AU RBs.
