it's like Cristobal has never heard of chicken fingers. idk. Whatever. Hoping we fall ass backwards into offering Kiffen a fuggtruck of moneyWell in the end there was no way hick ass Boogville was gonna swipe a corch from Oregon even though we could have easily offered more $. Social media almost made it sound like a possibility though as usual.
Lol enjoy hell on earth Mario:it's like Cristobal has never heard of chicken fingers. idk. Whatever. Hoping we fall ass backwards into offering Kiffen a fuggtruck of money
Holy Shit this is fantasticI enlisted our boy Dikembe to help with this shitshow... didn’t turn out perfectly - he worked in the finger wag and no no no but he was supposed to say no to Kevin Steele specifically...
anyhoo, always good to have a legend on your side
Dikembe helps #stopsteele

Not really sure I’d admit to spending any money at all on boog football within the last 5 years
Shit I remember Jetgate. Crazy timesI know most here don’t remember Jetgate, but this is unfolding as a much worse scenario IMO. Maybe all of the social media makes it worse cause I didn’t actually know about the latter until it was done. I guess that means the Brave New World saved us from the embarrassment of a KS hire?

Kiffen reminds me of Tubbs to some degree. I think he will find ways to beat the Gumps and UGA but still think he'll end up with plenty of Gus like seasons when it comes down to W-L. Would love to see him here but BoTs ain't got the bawlsKiffen is the best coach that wants to come to Auburn, period. Plus, he's kinda like the Luke to Sabans Vader, if luke loved hoes.
idk, I think certain people won't like how public its become that steele was their idea, and so if he fails its really really on them, which is actually kind of a lot of their reputation on the line. Might lead them to actually go with a real coachKiffen reminds me of Tubbs to some degree. It is amazing how far we fell off once Champ’s recruits started moving on.Just a PSA to the boogosphere but Steele is still a huge upgrade from Gus. I get the outrage it’d be a shitty hire but Gus is that bad.
Unfortunately he won’t have Moose’s croots or the hand of God touching us for 2-3 extra wins a year so the record would likely go down from here.
Anyway #FreeRife
Apparently Craig Stevens and Brad Lester are saying Tony Elliot.
Would love this hire if true
I’m choosing to compare everything to having Steele at this point and I would take Sark and kinda hope we hang onto Steele for defense. Also this could all be a ploy by Saban for Sark to sneak into the football locker room and take a huge dump on the logo.
would obviously be a mondo step up over Gus in terms of offense. Not opposed to this one at all
Relative to Steele he’s a home run, not a fan though. Don’t want whoever we hire to be forced to hold on to Steele. Probably best to cut bait there and bring back Muschamp and/or Trob.I’m choosing to compare everything to having Steele at this point and I would take Sark and kinda hope we hang onto Steele for defense. Steele is obviously gone now if he doesn’t get the gig. “Come at the king, you best not miss.” He apparently was a part of getting Gus canned. No new coach is gonna keep a dude like that on the staffRelative to Steele he’s a home run, not a fan though. Don’t want whoever we hire to be forced to hold on to Steele. Even my dad who's a complete and total casual fan was like WTH? Why would they hire kevin steele. It doesn't make sense. if you're getting moderately neutral fans upset , then you really need to reevalute your planHaving a hard time thinking of a hire that would be received worse than hiring Steele. Maybe Muschamp. I think people would get more excited about hiring Rhett Lashlee than Steele.
@Fatz Geronimo legendary work on the Mutombo thing.
Im going to make another run at Antifa Twitter this weekend and will let you know what the handle is.
Let’s make this a worldwide movement. Maybe get the biggest stars in Bollywood to do a shoutout. How much would that cost?
...then she takes a dive into a giant vat of Dales and is saved by Lane Kiffen? You mean like Lady Gaga wearing nothing but a meat dress to the Grammys with the words #StopSteele on it
...then she takes a dive into a giant vat of Dales and is saved by Lane Kiffen?
so again, Lane is the answer. We could stress to them that children will die if the wrong man is hired and we must stop Steele to save our democracy

I love Auburn with all my heart and have been a loyal footbaw fan since I was old enough to choose until Gus but I digress. If they make KS HC and Bobo the OC, I won't watch a single game. I barely care anymore thanks to Gus anyways but I thought this would be a chance to GAS again but fvck. From elsewhere
This was just posted as coming from an AUfamily mod. As you’ll read at the end he wants people to C&P it. No clue on the veracity, but it sounds about like Auburn’s M.O.:
As much as we've heard about the Big Money Guys / PTB, sadly, it's even worse than we've imagined. This is a power play. Pure and simple.
The politically savvy BOT Member who is orchestrating it all is not the one who's getting most of the recent press ... it's Charles McCrary. Yes, the At-Large, ex-Alabama Power CEO who has been a member of Auburn's BOT since 2004. Charles McCrary also recently succeed Grayson Hall as Chair of Regions Financial Corporation’s Board of Directors and as of three years ago, ... wait for it ... was also elected to the board of directors of Great Southern Wood Holdings.

Jimmy Rane, who is not innocent in all of this, is more the "bad cop" and catching the press clippings.
No, JR didn't fund the buyout (at least directly), it came from AU's reserve fund. Although, don't be surprised if you hear about a large donation to get construction going on the dedicated Football Facility soon. But that's another story for another day ...
Pure and simple, Kevin Steele is their guy. The whole search committee is a charade. There are some still trying to fight the good fight but unless something significantly changes, KS will be Auburn's next head coach - perhaps as soon as Monday.
But before we get carried away, let's go back in time for moment and talk about how we got here ...
My source indicates this has been going on for 2+ years; Gus didn't play ball and he delivered mediocre results along the way. An opening presented itself, Gus was fired, and the rest is history.
By "didn't play ball" ... we're talking access. Recall back during 2010, Jimmy Rane and others were literally on the sidelines during the games. Gus never fit that mold, never had those relationships - frankly, never wanted them.
Every conversation Steele had with Gus over the last few years was relayed. Rodney Garner is also involved in this. Our sources indicate there's been an ongoing plan by the two of them to undermine Gus. Gus actually went to Gogue about it before he got fired. But Gus didn't have the political cover to remove Steele so it was a very awkward working relationship.
Bo and Rodney Garner are close. Bo is a pretty strong-willed guy -- won't really take phone calls or listen to any one else. Bo wants Rodney to be AU's first black DC which would happen if Steele is elevated to HC.
But what about the search committee and all these folks we've heard about who are interviewing? The committee members were officially selected by Ron Burgess (with input from Ranes via McCrary). It's all check-the-box formatily.
The committee is stacked with yes men and folks who are aligned behind the plan. Let's look at a few ...
Quentin Riggins - works at Alabama Power, takes his marching orders from McCrary
Burgess - sits on Great Southern Woods Board of Directors
Bo - he's going to vote in line with Rodney.
Tim Jackson - do we really need to say anything? Aligned to this old-guard/Dye crew. Positioned to be elevated to AD if they can get AG out. Which would give the PTBs full control over Athletics/Football.
Allen Greene - He's fighting ... but is just a figurehead ... was told he wanted to make a play to get Mario but that ship has sailed. Either some leaked our interest in order to sabotage him as a candidate or Oregon logically thought we'd be interested and fast tracked a contract. Regardless, AG has now power - even though he's trying.
It appears Randy Campbell is the only person on the committee who is standing up for a legitimate search but he's outnumbered.
So this leaves us with Steele unless we (bottoms-up) can get something to change. The old Dye crowd has aligned and KS their guy.
This feels so similar to the games Lowder used to play, navigating behind the scenes, stacking the BOT with guys beholden to him. It's about power. And it makes me freaking sick.
Don't get me wrong, I do think this group wants "what's best for Auburn" ... as long as they are part of the equation. And they do think Steele will be the second coming of Dye - or at least a return to that brand of football, Auburn politics. Personally, I think he's in the swan of his career and would not bring the energy and excitement to the program. Not too mention, does any one really see him out recruiting the Sabans, Kirbys, Mullens of the world? Who would he bring in as Offensive Coordinator (Mike Bobo is the name we've heard mentioned) to clean up the mess on that side of the ball?
So that's where we stand ... and we've heard Monday could shape up to be a big day. The timing/announcement is meant to bury the #StopSteele movement with Christmas ... and then once every one is back for the first of the year, it's all done.
Take this all with a grain of salt ... don't shoot the messenger ... do whatever you want with this information. But if you are as sick of the nonsense as we are ... and Kevin Steele is not your guy, share this and help put sunshine on this back-room, back-deal process.
