It’s simply amazing that Boog U has been as successful as it has considering the leadership since forever, the Bams across the state plus scribes both locally & across the entire country (the last two being tied together kind of because of their kill for hire journalistic school). Add in the Marks Emmert & Womack & it’s amazing that we can even field any programs (CAM investigation & the current Chuckie Person deal). I really don’t know if any other school could have treaded this better than the Boogs. JMO.

Listening to Musselman talking from quarantine headquarters made me happy. They BEST thing about all of this is no more Gus at Tip Off at Toomers, no more greeting the basketball bus & MOST importantly not driveling on telecasts of our beloved HYGS. This is monumental.

I am thrilled with this one guys. My guy knows him really well and was shocked we were able to pull him away. Says he is a very disciplined coach and great offensive mind who works magic with QB’s. Feels if he is given the chance to bring in most of his own staff and keep/add some proven SEC recruiters that he could do well. Thinks this hire is the best that AU could ask for.

his biggest downside is he is entirely unproven in the recruiting realm, but as a coach, he's literally the best hire Auburn has made in 20+ years.

Record wise as a HC, he’s the best we’ve ever hired. As always, his success will depend on hiring great recruiters and letting them do their jobs. Then make sure we have plenty of capable on field coaches and analysts. He will be cheap too I’d expect.

1) I can't stress enough how happy I am to have anyone other than Gus patrolling the sidelines for my University. The booger picking crotch grabbing robot hard headedness is over.

2) Literally it doesn't matter who the coach is unless he has power. Real power to make decisions for his program.

apparently kellen moore only makes 72k at dallas? That's pretty nuts if true. Even when he was just the qb coach, that's still a very low salary for any nfl coach. Analysts at AU get paid more than that. So I doubt it'd be a tough pull if that's the route he wants to go.

Ha I had to look this up and the internet does say that. Pretty sure that’s not accurate though may have been his cap # his last year as a player. Pretty sure he makes around a mil but couldn’t find the deets.
