OT: GOLF

Those prices look good, will have to check it out

Explain hybrids to me, what are they used for?
They’re basically an easier to hit substitute for your longer irons. I have a 3 wood in my bag that I never hit because I hit my 2 hybrid far better and almost as far. As a new golfer, you should definitely consider them.

Update. Played a par 3 course today to test out newer swing with irons. Was killing the ball today, hitting 9 iron around 150, 7 iron around 170, which is just crushing it for me. Got several pars so a solid day of improvement.

On the flip side, my chipping was never worse than today, so I guess you have to sacrifice one part of your game to improve at another.
Just get the driver dialed in. When you’re flipping wedge in after a 300+ yd bomb down the middle you don’t have to worry about chipping.

I hit the new Callaway Rogues at Top Golf the other night. Liked them a lot, especially the hybrids.

Whoa hey now don’t be disparaging a superior class of people. Although Phil is actually right handed just plays lefty.

2010 was my last time. Snatched some Cam dollars and struck the Heisman next to the Bear statue after the W. Also ate bbq at the McElroys tailgate while he nursed his concussion in the RV. That was a good day. Can’t really go back after that.

I went to the 2012 A&M at Bama game. Was amazing. I wanted to stay and 'party' that night but everyone else I was with demanded we leave and I drove back while they blacked out while I drove back.

I haven’t been able to play as much as I would like. I need a job where I can play more. Any you guys got any of those “don’t work as much but still get paid well and play golf more jobs”?

Cyber security, pilot, or president, those are your options.

I'd suggest going to president, it's the easiest of the 3.

Let’s not turn this into a career advice thread. But if you wanna play a lot of golf, either work hard to become the teet or get hired to be the guy that gets to suck on it. It’s that simple.
Simple huh? Teet here I come.

wrong at a major some pilots get entire months off paid. Most work 6 on 7 off or like 12 on 18 off etcc

A lot depends on seniority according to some buddies who fly for a living. Their “hours” add up to about 15 days a month for an average tenured pilot. Of course that may mean a day of flying around the country for 3-4 flights. A 30 hour layover somewhere and flying all over again 3 days later for 3 of their 15 days “working”. Pretty sweet gig if you don’t mind being always from home. Good money with the big boys too.
