Things started off shaky but he’s beginning to look like the QB most optimistic Boog fans expected. Crazy accurate the past three games and those numbers include a large amount of very well thrown deep balls.

I think it’s been his goal all along to be one and done so it wouldn’t shock me if he leaves even if he’s not a guaranteed 1st rounder.

Lots of good QBs will be in the draft but I think he’s already in the 2nd rd discussion and has a big possibility to move up higher.

And I’d personally love to see the Malick/Joey era start sooner rather than later anyways

Came here to post about Stidham, so I will just stick it in this thread. Below is Stidham's QBR by week. It has obviously skyrocketed in the last few weeks. My question was going to be similar to OPs, basically "how much do you buy Stidham hype right now?" How much of this is him improving and how much is us just playing bad opponents?

He shouldn't, but he might because Gus. If he were actually being developed by someone that can develope a Pro QB he might stay because it would help him. Gus will only screw him up. He needs to leave, get drafted in the 5th round to a decent team and let them develope him. Then we get to watch the Malik show and everyone wins.

Mitch Trubisky was just drafted number 2 overall and only started a whopping 13 games in his career and won nothing of significance. I think some people forget how valuable QBs are to nfl execs and how high they’ll reach for them. If Stidham stays on the same trajectory, he’ll go way higher than the 5th rd

Probably so. Just threw that out there hoping a better team grabs him.

You don’t see an nfl arm?

Let’s not forget too that rinky dink offenses haven’t stopped plenty of kids being drafted highly.
Well there's the spread and then there's our passing game. I don't think his arm strength is on par with top QB prospects. It's ok.

I can name an assload of QBs that have been drafted in the first rd with WAY weaker arms. Tebow and Manziel obviously but the list goes on and on. I think only the Rosen kid has a noticeably bigger arm than him this year. Darnold and Lamar Jackson, nope

I can't tell how strong his arm is because he doesn't look like he is ever throwing the ball very hard and he has underthrown some deep balls. That being said, we don't run a tun of routes that you have to put mustard on. His arm strength was supposed to be real good.

Yeah maybe. Those are 2 huge busts. I'll need to see something against a legit D. He could work himself into a late first rounder probably but seems to be clearly outside the top 5 or so draft prospects. That duck into a light breeze is the first throw that comes to mind so maybe I'm not giving enough credit.

Some of you boners way to heavily over scrutinize AU players and don’t even watch other teams. Thrust was touting MSU’s Fitzgerald as another Dan Mullen NFL qb and that kid has a baby arm.

I have said my piece from day one. He will be a one and done. With a real qb coach he will look like the next version of Eli Manning. Dude has less than a years worth of starts under his belt playing in Bozo the clowns offense.

Hate to get off target here, but who was it that was giving Dum Mullens a handy under the table before they played uga? Assuming no one still wants that loser in boogville, right?

Tis true I don't watch hardly any college ball. Didn't watch Mercer or Mizzou. Watch a fair amount of NFL. I just haven't seen many 'NFL throws'. He's pretty good from a pristine pocket. I'm mostly just sour cause dude is slow and we should have an athlete back there.

I haven't seen anything to lead me to believe we can score against UGA or Bama. That's mostly cause Gus but still.

Agree, but more often than not when i see a pass from one of our QBs off target I immediately question if the WR ran the route correctly...got Gus syndrome

I’m still counting the Uga game as a win. Their OL is garbage and Nick Chubb is also nowhere near what he once was. Add in that Fromm is just a freshman and I doubt they score more than 17 on this AU D in Jotdan Hare.

yeah...but our O is pretty crap too and uga's dline has shown they pressure the QB.
Coin toss at best in my book.

I hope so. And I hope he goes to the Saints to replace Drew.

Then I get MALIK in AUBURN and my FALCONS get to play against an NFL scrub twice a year. Win/WIn

Yikes, some of you guys are damning the child to nfl failure after just five Boog starts.

He’s gonna save Gus’ job but that doesn’t mean you have to hate on the kid

No way to know how much is rust... how much is our still mediocre at best pass concepts... and how much is Jarrett

but he’s going to fumble at least twice/game against UGA and BAMA from holding the ball too long unless he improves tremendously between now and then

He has an NFL arm, but he’s nowhere near ready to play in the NFL right now... the question is - does playing for Gus or Chip another year change that? I’m guessing no, so his best chance for success is to get drafted ASAP and sit for a year while real corches have a chance to mold him

Exactly. He won't be ready after this year, but his arm is legit. I think he has the mental make and work ethic to be a really good NFL QB. If he was playing for a real corch he could be a top 5 pick after next year. If he stays another year the only thing that he is assured of is Beep Bops offense getting him kilt.

Not gonna start a new thread. We can make this an AU players projected in the draft thread. Here’s a tweet about CD

I don't thank STIDDDDY goes pro afta hiz SEEENYORE yeeer. Perty good kollege QB, but he gotta get bettta if he wantz to GET PAYED!!

Someone posted that Don Russell was projected in the 1st by some goob. I’d say there’s a -5% chance that happens.
Yeah. I’ve seen that mock draft. I’d say there’s zero chance of Don Russell going in rd 1, but I’d also guess that there’s zero chance that he returns for his RS Senior year too.

I see a lot of nfl prospects on the defense. The 2019 draft could be a monster year for AU
