OT: RE the CHUCK situation

I can't imagine they knew about an undercover FBI investigation and charges. They'll have to say something like today. Tomorrow morning at the latest. I choose to believe BRUCE knew nothing, or at least can't be proven to have known anything and the NEW Boog AD is ready to fight for him and this program.
Fixed it for ya.

No way they can prove Bruce knew anything imo. Probably did know something, but this can easily be framed as Chuck going rogue for an extra 100k. If Bruce was involved, then why make Chuck do the dirty work instead of some underling?

The best hope for Auburn is that since everything seems to be only Person trying to steer players to a (fake) agent and not purchasing players (like Miami UL), it won't be quite as bad and Bruce will remain our HC.

Digging through some oulde NCAA items I see Gurley was suspended 4 games (30%) of season for taking over $3k for memorabilia. Add inflation and that this was a more direct transaction I'm thinking if MCGLYNN does his jobs we can see these boys on the court come SEC play.

Just the mass scale of this makes me think everyone gets a slap on the wrist. Hard for me to think the NCAA is gonna a shitload of very good players ineligible for the Tourney

let's be real, Chuck will be back working with Austin on that drop step come January

Yes I am beginning to feel a bit better about things. May still sob myself to sleep tonight but I think there is a real chance we can escape without much impact on the program.

Also an important note in regards to BRUCE's longevity. Aubren basically made him hire Chuck Person. Would not have been on his staff anywhere else.
I used to be pretty vocal about this point and how BRUCE had much better options than Chuck. @au4life_rz wrote a couple of dissertations rebutting my take. Good times.

That guy is the absolute worst. Why Chuck why? If he was doling out cash to procure MUSTAPHA or some of these studs in coming classes I could understand. Setting up back room deals with fictional agents for a few k when you're presumably sitting on millions from a long NBA career and cush asst corch gig? WTF

Don't know how y'all feel about inviting him, but @AU02inDC is probably pretty educated on this subject. He is from the same area as Chuck and can probably shed some light on the situation. Just a thought.

I saw Chuck meeting with an oulder man on August 22 off exit 11 at cracker barrell in Montgomery. I thought it was odd they were there but not eating. I posted about seeing him in the "banned2chili" board. I bet the FBI knows I put the waitress's pen in my pocket by accident. Seriously, Chuck seemed nice and invited me to practice, but I went to Clemson instead.
