OT - So lets talk coaching changes...

with Chippy going to UCLA and Frost most likely going to Neb/FLA what would AU do if Beep Bop decides to jet to Ark? Seriously, who would be out there to fill the AU void? Does Beep Bops long term future ride on an AU win or loss today? Does AM make the move first to try and steal Jimbo away from AU if Gus bolts? I think under those circumstances Jimbo is the obvious choice, but fear AU leadership will hem-haw around and be left with no viable options.

My guess is we win today and lock Gus up for the long-term. Guess I better start begging corch to give me my seat back on the bus. Anyone else with me?

LANE paired with Steele and this D staff would be a no brainer. I take Moose, Jimbo, Petrino over Gus right now. Miss on all those guys it gets dicey. Actually Sumlin with this D staff would be ok.

I can see Jimbo signing some outrageous contract with FSU b/c this feels a lot like one of his tactics. He'd lead us on and then we'd be screwed. Petrino gets hired by someone else while we're chasing Jimbo and Muschamp decides he can't keep switching jobs every 12-24 months and decides to locking with USCe.

My hope is that one way or the other, this Gus to Arky stuff ends by Monday. Either the hire his ass or they have to move on b/c we won and he told them he's not interested anymore. Not sure I really care either way at this moment. Might feel more strongly one way or the other if you could tell me for sure who would be next.

True and that gives me some hope. But we've never "gone big" even before those guys. If anything, Jay Jacobs went big with hires in non-football sports more than AU typically has. My biggest issues with him were his football hires and his overall approach to management of the AD.
