meh. It's still a rivalry gang and the Boogs could very well win this one. UGA only opens up as a 2.5 pt favorite and they definitely haven't looked good on the road. This screams "game Gus wins to keep the heat off his job" type game and I kind of think it'll happen. Boogs at home in a big one. Gus actually does the smart thing and gets the A Train and Schwartz involved early and often.

I will be attending. My father wanted someone to go with him, so I agreed. I guess I’m going to be cheering for the boogs, though I can only imagine how many more years we will have to suffer Gus if we win.

10-3 at the half, we're "in it" but we really aren't because the offense hit like one big play to get in FG range and every other snaps combined for 45 yards.

Other than the perfect game in 2017 where everything on offense clicked, Kerryon was amazing and Gus/Chip broke out some legitimately good pass concepts for the first time we've been crushed by their defense every seasons since 14'. Even that 17' game got avenged by their defense in ATL that year. We have scored 7-13 points 5 of the last 6 games. I see no reason we buck that trend with a mediocre OL and a FR QB who wasn't ready for this yet.

I have a hard time seeing a 21 pt loss and no one has put a 30 spot on the Boogs D all season.

The Bama loss this past weekend also did give the Boogs a very very small chance to back door into the playoff race if they win out and a few other things happen. I think they’ll be very motivated

I’m torn here. A win makes Gus even more attractive to Arkansas. Then again a win might again fool boog admins into wanting to keep him around. Prob win this one and lose to Bama be optimal.

What a terrible game. Only type of game that sounds feasible for a boog victory. I personally think Kirby’s D gonna stifle the boog O and lead to the eventual collapse of the boog D to make game look less close than it is.

I love the defense and I'm not gonna be upset with them if this happens the way I think it's going to happen....I just think everything has it's breaking point and if we have 82 yards at the half, very few 1st downs and are down by a score or two we're on a dangerous edge. That's one of those situations where the 3rd starts with an AU 3 and Out and a UGA drive and everything falls apart because at some point even the best units will stop being their best out of sheer frustration.

This may be the worst matchup for our offense to date. Grantham had players but his style is one Gus has abused a lot in the past and we couldn't find any way to punish their over aggressiveness. The LSU defense is good but I don't think their front 7 is nearly as good as UGA's. Plus they've absolutely owned us outside of one game in 17' and Kirby has tons of experience and success against Gus. I won't be shocked if we're actually WORSE than we were in the UF game.

which is what I'm thinking happens because the offense simply can't help them and they eventually get frustrated and if you play defense at 90% instead of 100% talent like UGA has will start to score points on you much more frequently.

Hope to be wrong. Would love to see a great game this weekend. Just don't have any faith in it happening.

Doesn't even matter if they quit or not. Both 2017 AU/UGA games had good defenses give out in the 2nd half because they were on the field the majority of the time. Did they quit? Maybe, or maybe they were just exhausted.

likely a bit of both and I'm not going to hold it against this defense is they are dead legged and miss some plays in the 2 big games we have left if it's because the offense can't keep the ball any. At some point being part of a team means you get some help from the other guys. They've had none.
