The hated Kyle Guy put up 20 last night and played pretty well I thought. Didn’t impress Sam Mitchell who questions his ability to guard. Bryce didn’t impress me or Sam but there’s a way to go. Hopefully he finds his spot. I didn’t think I was going to get to watching Jared but I am. He started and I’m tickled for that. Looking forward to watching him.

welp - SBJ was mic’d up for the game, got the start, scored 8 in the first qtr, finished with 19 & 4, led the Suns to a OT win, ripped RJ Barrett late for an easy layup, closed it out inside the last 60-90 seconds with a nice floater up 1 that was goaltended for a 3 pt lead and then knocked down a couple of FT’s to push it to 5 and ice it, got the on court interview treatment from Cassidy Hubbarth after the game, and concluded with more gushing from Doris and Mark Jones after the game

just SBJ doing SBJ things... only negative is he was consistently short from 3, but considering he’s been shooting it from the logo for 3 years I think the jumper will come around... he was finishing at the rim much better than I expected, and better than he did for much of his time as a Boog

early first qtr layup dribbling through bums like traffic cones and finishing over Mitchell Robinson

coming from off ball and taking RJ Barrett’s candy

extended highlights

just a collection of random truth bombs from various corners of the internet

and, finally, some guest EA from Bubba Fu from the internet

It's like we are proud parents.

Jared with only 4pts in 19 minutes last night

He was off last night for sure. Surprised he has shot the 3 ball so poorly. Also, BB continues to struggle in the half court game. Just looks uncomfortable. Hope he doesn’t not get too down on himself. We know how he gets when he is not making his shots.

what is a two-way contract?
per wiki:
A two-way contract is a professional sports contract which stipulates that an athlete’s salary is dependent upon the league in which the athlete is assigned to play. This is opposed to a one-way contract that would pay the same salary regardless of where the athlete is assigned to play.
Beginning in the 2017–18 season, the National Basketball Association added two-way contracts between NBA teams and their NBA G League affiliates. Unlike in the NHL, these contracts are not offered to every aspiring NBA player, but only to undrafted players whom a team would like to keep "on retainer" without having to sign to a full-time contract. Each NBA team can have up to two two-way contract players per season, and are typically considered to be "16th and 17th men" on a roster.[5] Excluding time spent before and after the G League's season begins and ends, players on two-way contracts can spend up to 45 days in the NBA while spending the rest of the season in the G League.[6][7] As of the 2017–18 season, players earn $75,000 while they are in the G League and roughly $204,000 if they spend the maximum 45 days on an NBA roster. The two-way contract system benefits young undrafted players who do not want to play professional basketball overseas, as well as those who believe an organizational investment in them is beneficial to their development. Some player agents are concerned about this system, because in exchange for guaranteed employment at a higher salary than a typical G League player, two-way players give up the freedom to be called up from the G League by any NBA team, possibly one with intent to sign the player to a 10-day contract, which could eventually lead to a full-time NBA roster spot sooner than with a two-way contract

Not a bad deal. They clearly value him since each team can only offer two of those contracts. Just needs to be patient and he’ll get called up eventually. Someone will get injured or something. Then it’s up to him to take advantage

So happy for SBJ stuffing me full of crow. I expected him to play overseas for a couple of seasons before earning this shot. It’s still a long shot but I’m most instances, these kids do get their shot. Hopefully he will and will take advantage of it.

I wonder if he's signing this at like his newly moved into apartment, or if this is just some vacant office at the sun's facility. Not that it really matters, I'm just getting a little kick out of the empty desk
