Might as well just quote this for myself, cause I ain't got my wits about me enough to coin anything else this blessed day.way too hectic at work for me to get the full day off... I’ll watch the first half at lunch then catch the second half on my phone at my desk like a loser
I handled every slow start in the SECT well because I kept my expectations low and kept telling myself it didn't matter if we kept winning, I wanted to see our NCAAT path and get on to that. Well now we're here and if we start slow I'm not going to be able to roll with the punches as well. I may empty the liquor cabinet before 2pmI was a wreck yesterday. Feeling good today. Ready to boog.
Yeah, I'll be a huge mess if we have one of those 10 points 12 minutes in type of starts.I handled every slow start in the SECT well because I kept my expectations low and kept telling myself it didn't matter if we kept winning, I wanted to see our NCAAT path and get on to that. That's a lot of pressure. I shall endeavor to make up for your absence. It’s killing me not being able to watch and I’m an idiot and didn’t set my DVR.
I’m making 7 to 10K (LAMP) every time I take this case, though, so no way I could take off.
Pull us through, Gents, so I can watch on Saturday. I’m blaming y’all if we lose.
My gAUd, I would have told that customer to take his business elsewhere. I cleared my schedule for today. Was supposed to meet a customer at 10 outside the bank and he called about 9 and asked to change time until 12. I’ll be running about 30 minutes behind on DVR when I start. Won’t be checking in here until I catch up but can’t wait for the thread to get in full swing. Been pretty damn great so far for a warm up to game time. WDE boys and girls. Let’s kick some Aggie ass.
A quick start today would be ideal. The faster we can make these try-hards realize they aren't going to win, the better. With that being said, I expect them to play us tough the first 15 mins. I would be satisfied with any lead at the half and then grind them down in the 2nd.I handled every slow start in the SECT well because I kept my expectations low and kept telling myself it didn't matter if we kept winning, I wanted to see our NCAAT path and get on to that. I’m a noob here and don’t post, but this is exactly why I follow along in every game thread over here. The bunker takes are ridicalso - a 4 pg thread, gonna hit 5 before the game even starts, is why this is the premiere Boog board on the net

Called this Sunday in the Bracketology thread at 6:22 PM Sunday (Greg time of course)I hope OP has his finger on the trigger for our first round game. Five pages before TO.

Sage advice. Biggest key early, imo, is our defensive pressure. Our shots may not fall early, but if we can play D like we did against UT, NMSU is going to struggle to get shots up, much less score. Play with that same intensity today and we should turn them over a ton.I’ll go ahead and say it now just in case since I may not be able to say it during the game
don’t even worry about the score until late in the first half... and even then, it’s not a huge deal if we’re down (we won’t be, but still)... just focus on the shots we’re getting and the shots we’re forcing them into... even in slow starts, we’ve been running good offense, making crisp passes, pushing in transition, and if we’re doing that then over the course of 40 minutes we’re gonna be fine... unless they’re unexpectedly causing us trouble with perimeter quickness or with traps or pushing our offense out of Jared and Bryce’s comfort range with pressure - then how many points we have at any given point in the first 24 or so minutes is meaningless
similarly, if we’re being disruptive and deflecting passes and forcing them to initiate offense with 20 seconds or less on the shot clock and they’re just making shots or get a few balls to bounce their way early, it’s nothing to worry about... unless they just murder us in transition or are able to get into their offense and move the ball without much resistance to get the shots they want - then how many points they have at any given point in the first 24 or so minutes is meaningless
I always look at how many more shots we have than the other team. Our recipe to victory is shooting 10-20 more shots per game, which gives us a much higher floor even if the shots aren't falling. We can beat anybody shooting just 40% or better if we get that many more looks. All comes down to turnovers and offensive boards. We've been doing a really nice job limiting our own turnovers the last few weeks, and that starts with SBJ. Need him to have a good tourney.I’ll go ahead and say it now just in case since I may not be able to say it during the game
