Watched Joey Gatewood in the UA AA game. He looks like our typical “will not be developed at all in the passing game” QB who comes in to run the zone read for 2-3 years without being allowed to attempt a downfield pass.
As long as BRUCE is here for the rest of his life I don’t care how much we waste on this imbecile.

According to AL.com the paper work hasn’t been written and Leath said it was above 50% but well under 100% guaranteed. I guess the definition of well under is debatable. Curious to see it when it becomes official.

Nah he does have an Ego. And Auburn needed someone with one to change the culture of a lot of different departments on campus. He may not even be a long term solution for Auburn, but his personality is what Auburn needed right now.

That is a good point about his personality. He definitely is like a bull in a china shop and sometimes that can be good short term. Now that we have an AD hopefully he can focus on the school in general and back off the athletic department.

This. Leath looks like the kind of guy to me that everyone that he works with will eventually hate. But he isn’t like a Saban who is a total fuggin badass. I know this because I see his yellow teef therefore I cannot take Leath Sirius Lee.
I think he made this political AD hire because it will 1) look great image wise 2) he is inexperienced so he will need to consult with Leath often 3) he is very young, there fore more likely to listen to people his father’s age because he assumes they are wiser and more experienced therefore easier to control. That is why he handed an inexperienced 40 year old an approximate $130,000,000 budget, because Leath thinks he can control him.
That is only my theory after looking at all the facts.
Or you can simply accept this hire at face value and think that AG is absolutely the very best hire we could have made and there is not a single person in the entire country we could have gotten that would have been better. I tend to go with my original theory because everything points to that. But I could be wrong.
OT to this tread, but how do you think the Market will react to this shut down Monday? I know it won't be a long time deal. Sorry guys, but I didn't want to start a new thread. WSG & I were talking on the bb, and it got moved of course.
Market won’t care too much I don’t think of short term. They rely on some Govt numbers but they got their tax cuts so they will be fine for now sans any rate hikes.
Expect the market will shrug it off as it has limited impact on the key factors driving the market higher — corporate earnings growth (independent of taxes), longer term economic growth, tax breaks, investor and CEO confidence, etc.

Boog admin finally grows some balls and you're complaining? If BRUCE and his studly youngsters make the tourney, I see a 70%+ chance of him staying. Win a game and that probably moves up to 90%. Win the conference, regular season or tourney, as well and he will stay and probably get a raise.
Everyone needs to remember when writing to Leath and Greene that it was the incompetent yokel that hired Persons, not BRUCE.
