So here are the numbers for the first three sessions of SEC games. Looking at home teams and their success against the BPI number, especially those at 60% or better.

TAMU gets a couple of guys back tonight. Wouldn't surprise me if they got a W. Vandy is always tough at home. First team to score 40 should win that Scar Bama game.

TAMU will eventually get their act together. Too much talent not to. They need to get that W at Vandy. I expect they'll have some rust for the next few games as they get everyone back together, but you don't need to lose to Vandy while working that out IMO.

That other game you speak of will likely be an insult to the sport of basketball.

Crazy to think aTm could start 0-4 in the SEC if they lose to Kentucky tonight after being ranked in the top 5 coming into the conference season.

Some raggedy ball going on around the league. Hopefully our beloved Boogs continue to rise above it.
It is. With 6:54 left in the game, UGA had 44 points. They ended the game with 56. They only scored 12 fuggin points in the final 7 mins. That was some shitty ball, right there lol

It's probably premature but this boog team should be able to beat any team I'm the conference on any given night.

definitely... not many teams with the firepower to score with us when we play well

I’ll settle for a healthy season, solidly and safely in the tournament... but I’ve seen nothing to lead me to believe we’re not a threat to win the league... we won’t win them all, and may not contend for the SEC, but we can beat anyone in the conference

I would like to see 2 or 3 road games that are competitive before I get super confident. Don't even need to win them all. I just have PTSD from Georgia and mizzou last season.

This is where I’m at.

PS, I know I don’t have much to contribute to threads like this, but I just wanted to let y’all know that I enjoy/appreciate the hell out of yalls contributions. The Greg has been an absolute pleasure and is a pure treasure amidst the wastelands of what is known commonly as Rivals message boards.

This is Auburn basketball (or sports in general). I will need multiple years of data before I get "comfortable".

But so far this year, the comeback wins over UT on the road and come back win against Ole Miss give me the hope.

I think the homer in me believes that the Boogs are the most fun team to watch in the SEC. Haven’t really watched too much of every team, but I have seen anyone besides Kentucky that gets up and down the court like the Boogs do. Everyone else plays boring fuggin basketball but that could just be bc I have no emotional interest in those teams.

A lot of people on the boog board love UGA basketball (like Archie for instance). They are well coached, Maten is an animal, and they have good bigs. But to me our guard play is way better than theirs and if Harper, Bryce, and Staph are playing well there is no way UGA will beat us at the Clam on the 20th.

lol Archie. They're significantly worse than they were last year when they didn't make the tourney. At least relative to us. Frazier was a total stud for them now their PG is a scrub. Maten is obviously a beast but I defy anyone to punk Desean and Chuma.

My way too early boogtastic thought is that late date at UF could be for an SEC title.

No doubt the boogs are the most entertaining. UK and Ark like to get up and down the court but they aren't doing it like us this year. that kid at LSU is kinda fun to watch, Waters. Sexton but the rest of that club is such trash. Rest is pretty meh.

I hear you, but define “competitive”... UT is one of the best teams in the conference - controlled the game and was up comfortably early - officiating was godawful - our bigs got in foul trouble - and we stormed back and blitzed their asses with the 6th/7th/8th guys in our rotation leading the way

that game was competitive... the Murray State game was competitive... the MTSU game was competitive... and all were away from home

last years team loses at UT - and it turns into the Vandy or South Carolina road losses where “we just don’t have it tonight” and the team folds... didn’t happen this year

last years team loses the MTSU game where we give away a huge lead... didn’t happen this year

we’ll lose more games... and have a few stinkers... but we just had one of our worst performances of the year and won by 15

we’re really fvcking good

We do everything you need to win ball games down the stretch and that's where they usually come down to. Up big early, down big early makes no difference. PG play, rebounding, depth and gasp FT shooting late few can match us in those areas. There'll be a clunker at some point but that's bball.
