Probably could've gone to MIT or some other scrub school but chose BRUCE. Smart young man indeed.

The only info I had on the team without Isaac was 2.5+ games of horrendous play at the time of that post. That’s not an insignificant sample size. As I said, before the game, I’d be happy to be a wrong that they could win without him. Hopefully we don’t have to play another one without him.
Even looked like he had better handles than Danjel on that playnot that anyone needs this to be said, but young Jaylin also had the two best assists in the game by far. And I'm not including the one off the backboard to himself. That bounce pass to the slasher was a beaut. And he had that steal where he brought the ball up the court, toyed with the defender and then found an open Samir for 3. Just a total impact player
Actually I don’t I don’t have the tech savvy to post a screen recordNeed a generous soul to screen record this for us that don’t have an IG
there's not doubt he does. He looks very comfortable facing up defenders off the dribble. Danjel always looks pretty stiffEven looked like he had better handles than Danjel on that play
I’m honestly still slightly shook he only played 15 mins. 8 pts 3 steals a couple dimes. Pretty sure he had a putback dunk in the first half. Had that drive through 3 players that didn’t go but Austin got it off the glass. Other shot he made was majestic af.not that anyone needs this to be said, but young Jaylin also had the two best assists in the game by far. that was that little baseline baby hook. He just looks so comfortable around the basketOther shot he made was majestic af.
Danjel too much of a puss to attack the basket anyway. Caught a slight chuckle when he finally came in in the 2nd. Could tell he was trying to be like Jaylin got the ball in the post, almost thought about making an aggressive attack move then quickly settled for the fadeaway that clanked off the front rim.there's not doubt he does. It’s really hard to believe this squad is 23-4 after watching the last week.Errybody chill the fugg out. 23-4 and BRUCE PEARL roaming the floor. Sir Isaac will return in time for the important games. #feelsgoodman
You've gotten me excited about rewatching the game. We need him to keep progressing these next few weeks.I’m honestly still slightly shook he only played 15 mins. 8 pts 3 steals a couple dimes. He just moves so freely and aggressively obviously has a natural bball IQ. The J doesn’t look bad I’m sure he could make at least at a 2020 boog level clip if he got all the wide ass open looks the 4 gets in our O.
He had full command every time he had the ball. Much more athletic than I thought too, that vert was impressiveI’m honestly still slightly shook he only played 15 mins. 8 pts 3 steals a couple dimes. It’s utterly amazing. Losing your best player is tough, but the difference is night and day with or without Isaac. Hopefully his return sparks the other guys. If jaylin ends up being a productive guy the rest of the way, Isaac going down could end up increasing our ceiling. It’s really hard to believe this squad is 23-4 after watching the last week.
Dude, even my dad knows about Sharife. He's a basketball fan but he's never known about recruits or anything. It's kind of wild. He told me some hoops recruiting talk has made its way into his taco tuesday discussion with his friendsEating lunch in town and Isaac, Stretch and Sharife are at little Italy. Sharife recognized by everyone in the joint. Wild times to have an incoming basketball recruit with that kind of fame.
Last year isn’t relevant as Isaac wasn’t on the team. We’ve played 3 games this year without him and been really bad for 2.5+ of those games. If you’re confident going into any of the remaining games if Issac is out, you must have slept through the last 3.Did you sleep through the last few years? You had much more info.
That’s awesome. Sharife was feeling the love. Some woman told him to get Isaac to stay another year and he laughed and said “I don’t know if i can make that happen.”Dude, even my dad knows about Sharife. That bounce pass was nice. Jaylin’s emergence is huge. If he continues to play like this after Isaac returns, we are going to be that much more dangerous. It will be interesting to see how Bruce handles the rotation.not that anyone needs this to be said, but young Jaylin also had the two best assists in the game by far. Mccorms holding onto the ball in fouling situations pisses me off. You can’t shoot free throws.
Spent a full hour & 20 minutes being triggered by our lack of effort and terrible, boneheaded plays. When we picked up the intensity and got in their ugly mugs on defense the entire world changed.
The boys needed that W without Okoro. Our lack of confidence was feeding a lot of our bad play IMO.
I’m hopeful that these guys saw the type of energy and effort it will take for us to win games without Okoro, and they can continue to bring that level going forward. If we get the energy and effort of the last 14:00 the rest of the season, this team will be fine.
The one thing that worries me about that energy and effort is it seemed to be spurred on by making shots, which is fine, but I’d rather they bring it from the beginning and not let the offensive inconsistencies bring the defense down.
I haven't lost any faith in Bruce. He has vastly exceeded expectations this year and is building a monster for next year. He lost his lotto pick for the 3 games and his absence has proven he's this team's MVP by miles. I am puzzled why anyone thinks it's unreasonable to say we are a bad team without Isaac. I have always maintained we would still be able to make a run when he returned.23 wins solo 6th most in boog hoops history already. @DM8 you been too fussy have some faith in BRUCE and the HYGs.
He definitely looks more like a 2 handling the ball. Having a big guy who is capable of handling the ball on the break is a huge advantage.I went back and watched a few of his plays and its stunning how much more fluid he is with the ball than our other 4's. The most hilarious thing on the highlights was the play where he got the steal under our basket, dribbled down like he was the lead guard and Andy Burcham is panicking like it's Anfernee and telling him to give it up and J crosses someone over and makes that great dish to Samir for a wide open 3.
The comeback today was epic, but the first 26 minutes of the game were abysmal and have not caused me to change my outlook on expecting to win games without Isaac. If you think we are a good team without Isaac, more power to you. If Isaac remains out and we play solidly in a win over Ole Miss or go to Rupp next weekend and give them a game, I'll happy to eat some crow.I’ve seen guys making plays for us for the last 3-4 years that are still with us.
This is the bottom line, your ridiculous overreactions were wrong. You can quintuple down on them if you want but that doesn’t change the result. Just FTR, Vegas didn’t agree with your drama logic either and won’t our next home game, regardless of Issac’s status.
The dynamic this year is so different from the last couple of seasons when we would hit 3s to spur runs that would lead us to step up our intensity on D. This year, we can't count on raining 3s to go on runs so it seems harder for the guys to find the extra level of energy you referenced that allows you to take over a game. This team has done it though, it just seems to more often happen when they are down double digits and have their backs against the wall. Once we have Isaac back, hopefully Bruce can find a way to get the guys to play close to their ceiling throughout the game.I’m hopeful that these guys saw the type of energy and effort it will take for us to win games without Okoro, and they can continue to bring that level going forward. Yeah I caught that by Andy too. JWill looked so smooth handling the ball on that play. Made me wonder if he was the third best ball handler out of everyone that played for AU yesterdayI went back and watched a few of his plays and its stunning how much more fluid he is with the ball than our other 4's. Didn’t know that. You could tell he was comfortable. Just get that three point shot dialed in and he can be deadly at the 4He was the PG for his high school team
