Your best VACATION ever??

Went to Yellowstone with my dad a few years ago. That was super fun. I'd like to go to Glacier National Park with him and my brothers soon

Been a lot of places around the world but nothing can compare to cocktails in Kiawah with corch BOOM.
I suppose I don't even have to ask if you played The Ocean Course. Toughest track I've ever played. Had a decent round going until I hit two balls in the water on 17 a la Mark Calcavecchia in the Ryder Cup. I didn't cry afterwards, doe.

In 11th grade I went with some family to Washington DC. Got to see all the monuments and stuff, take in a Nats game, and accidentally 'meet' a soon-to-be president that was campaigning like 4 months before the election.

I did. Course is a beast. Did break 80 out there last time but they move all the tees up out there. One course I will not attempt from the tips it's like 7800 yds.

I drove across the country in two days several years ago. Stopped at Ok City monument and spent the night in Amarillo Tx. Hauled ass both days otherwise. Got to LA and saw my fave baseball team, the Dodgers, play 2 games. Warner bros and universal tours during the days. The trip home took 8 days. Saw a game in Phoenix between Dbacks and Giants(Bonds 73 HR season). Giants scored like 19 runs. Bonds was 0-3 and they rested him. I saw the Grand Canyon, spent a night in Vegas, saw the turds lose to UCLA(on TV) after starting the year at #3 or some shit. Saw a game at Kaufman in KC and a game at old Busch in St Louis. That's my fave

Probably Washington DC around the same time that @AU HDL did. Liked Arlington and the Holocaust museum.

If you're allowed to like the Holocaust museum
I'd really like to go back to DC as an adult. Haven't been there since 8th grade for a class trip and it was fun. I have a ton of friends who live there and love it, but I've just never really cared to visit for some reason.

It was fun to go with a big group for me, extended family. Not "fun" in the traditional sense of vacation I wouldn't say, but pretty interesting to see all the stuff you only read about

D.C. is worth a visit. I don't know I've spent a lot of time there but all monuments/ museums are cool. They have a casino now too.

Anyone been to SEATTLE? Heading out there next week.

My brother and I had a pretty awesome trip for the 2010 Natty. Even if football wasn't involved it was pretty damn fun. ATL to LA. Spent a couple nights in LA, with some buddies at UCLA. Then rented a car and drove from LA to Vegas. Stayed 2 nights in Vegas at MGM and met up with about 20 AUBURN buddies. Then drove from Vegas to Phoenix, with 3 others friends along for the ride with us for that leg. Driving through the desert was cool as shit, never been out there before. Drove over Hoover Dam, etc. 2 nights in Phoenix, saw AUBURN win, and then drove back to LA for 1 more night. That was a damn good time. Fun just chilling with my brother and some good college friends as well. Drinking bourbon in the parking lot in Glendale until the security guards forced us to leave was pretty fun too... Not quite like sharing a Crown and Coke with Corch BOOM and @Denim Vest at Kiowah, but not bad

Seattle is great. You'll have a million choices for food and they seem to have an endless line of brewerys. I felt like we saw 100.

Any sporting event. That place is underrated sports crazed. And if you can find someone that will take you "sailgating" you'll never look at tailgating the same again.

Nice. Got some openings around seeing whales and Gorrilaz concert. Might try to squeeze a Mariners game in. Originally wanted to work Vancouver in but not sure if that'll happen.

I'm supposed to see Gorilaz in The Forum a week after you see them in Seattle. Buddy of mine is working as a stylist for some of them on this tour. Pretty sure he's drunk or high all the time bc they wear the same stuff every night and yet he's getting paid.

I read a post on the boog board about a place in the North Carolina mountains called The Swag.

I just needed to get away alone with my wife- no young ones, just us.

We stayed in a cabin and all the meals were included. This place is known for hiking and I even got my big butt on some of the trails with my aching joints. Actually felt good to get out on the trails and see all the beautiful scenery and breathe some good air.

The close encounter with a young male bear was somewhat exciting.
I made it- and he ran away thank goodness. His home- I was just a guest-.

The main thing was spending some time alone with my wife- and trying to get the spark, for lack of a better word, back in our marriage.

Glad to say it worked and it was almost like we were back- well, except for the bad joints, in 1986.

Probably sounds corny and so on, but this meant a lot to us, so I put this trip number 1.

I need to thank the booger one day but I can't recall his handle as he rarely posts.

Headed back in November- another private sparking session will be good!

Blaze ON!!!

I flew into Seattle and spent one day and then went on the ferry over to Victoria for about a week. Victoria (Vancouver Island) was a pretty cool spot. Obviously not as much to do as Seattle or Vancouver, but if you spend a good bit of time out there it's definitely worth it. My grandparents used to go there for a month or so every summer, to get away from the miserable heat in Gulf Shores. Glad I went to visit once, wish I'd have been able to go a lot more often. Seattle looked like a pretty fun spot though. Everyone I know who has been has had a great time.

Seeing whales is kind of cool too. If yore serious about that.

Yeah gotta have activities. if it was up to me I'd make no plans and just stumble around, go see the space needle. Supposed to be Orca season, it should be pretty cool. I guess we got a deal on some travel package to Seattle so ended up taking that and not scheduling Vancouver. Could possibly make a day trip out of it it's like a 2hr train ride I think.

If you want to drop some money on a really good meal I'd recommend Metroploitan Grille. Seattle Beer Co or Tap House Grille downtown, close to the Westin, both have lots of beers. Decent food too. I'm a tourist and do touristy things usually in big cities, but don't eat at any of the restaurants at the market. I've been a few times and the ones I've tried had really cool settings and atmospheres, and food like a bad Red Lobster. I've seen baseball and football games there before. Football is the only non-Atlanta NFL game I've seen. It was exciting like I can't describe. As soon as the Cowboys are mathematically eliminated, I'm wearing a fake green hair visor and loving the 'Hawks! It's a great time if the schedule works out. That won't be cheap either. If you partake of the cabbage, I'd like an update. I'm not going back until my daughter is old enough to smoke, if she chooses, and I'd like a report.

I always get tickled when I hear the name Brooke Sheilds. I heard my ex wife say a million times in our younger years that people always said she looked like BROOKE shields. I married her @$$ and it never crossed my mind. Should add she was a beauty to me back in the day and the best ex and baby momma a man could hope for. But she ain't never swam in the Blue Lagoon!

It's amazing how much a little paper work raises an IQ and an attitude. Everybody says we get along so much better now. It because she holds the "daughter cards". I can't just tell her when she does dumb shit anymore!! She's so much smarter now that she's married to somebody else! Doesn't hurt that he's a great guy either. I think he helps me. I know he has $$$ wise.
