Darius just got picked in the 5th rd. Finally got a projection right.
There ya go. Drafted in the 6th rd. Good for himI really hope Davis gets drafted. I think even if he doesn't, he could catch on with a team as an UDFA and make some noise
I agree. Don’t think Marlon is a first rd dude but I could see either Prince Tega or Noah Iggy having a big year and moving up boards. I think Noah is gonna be a beastBrown will be a 1st rounder and maybe Coe. I think Davidson is a tweener.

He was projected as the 2nd or 3rd DT off the board. I’d say safely in the first rdWhere would Brown have gone this year?
Well said.
Arguably a weak draft class but apparently also a record for the Boogs. Kind of fits the Malzahn era where he somehow succeeds by technicality but the overall feeling is that it’s mediocre

One of my least favorite things about the days after the draft is how GMs go to the airwaves to brag about how they got the guy they always wanted and they couldn’t believe that they fell to them.
So you don’t believe Chris Grier from the Fins was sitting on pins and needles thinking somebody was going to snatch up Coxcat before he stole him??
“That offense at Auburn, I’m not sure what the hell it is,” Lombardi said. “They run power, they run unbalanced… But anyway, that offense, seriously, might be one of the worst offenses in football, so you can’t evaluate a quarterback in it or they can’t train a quarterback, that’s the other thing. (Gus Malzahn) can’t train them.”
Either way, it’s hard to argue with Lombardi’s take on Malzahn’s lack of development of his quarterbacks. Outside of Jeremy Johnson and Sean White, both of which disappointed during their time on The Plains, Malzahn typically has to reach into junior college or the transfer market to find a quarterback. That won’t be the case next season, so Malzahn will have a chance to silence his critics in the fall, but if he doesn’t, this narrative will only get louder next offseason.
Saturday Down South and Michael Lombardi dropping truth bombs about Gus' offense:

Lombardi is a boob who occasionally gets things right, but even then is insufferable. He is right on Gus of course. In typical Lombardi form he doesn't really get into the good details of why, as more broad hot takes seem to be his thing.
I wouldn't care if we weren't preparing QB's for the league if we were still running the NM14 offense. Would not give one damn. But Gus made the decision to go with Sean White/Stidham/Bo Nix types instead and now he's gotta live with the criticisms that come with not developing guys that might have pro passing skills. Nobody would have cared if he just kept playing great athletes at QB. He and Urban Meyer both should just stick to what has worked for them instead of trying to be more "pro friendly"
THIS for me. I will forever shame his miserable a$$ regardless of what happens. This x 1000. If Gus had just stuck to sticking elite athletes at QB we would have averaged 10 wins while he was here and MIGHT have another natty. The basically wasted defensive talent of 2015 - 2018 is enough for me to hate Gus for the rest of his life.
