A few things:
1. That was one of the best wins on the season for us IMO. I say that knowing we've probably won some bigger, more impactful games so far. We won that game with defense and second half rebounding. The offense was just so so all night with no real run until late in the game. So, for us to be able to take a lead in the first half when the offense just wasn't quite there and to hold OM at arms length and respond every time we needed to, I think it was quite impressive, especially on the road.
2. Bryce Brown is the midseason SEC POY IMO. He's been our most important player throughout conference play because of his play on both ends. He needs to seriously be in the end of the year discussion for SEC POY.
3. Our bench was unusually off last night. I'd really like to see us work Dunbar into the game a little more. I feel like he's the only guy on the roster who we don't know what we're going to get from game to game, and I think we're really going to need him in a few games down the stretch and in the tournaments. Usually, we have a good idea what Mitchell, Chuma, and Spencer will bring. Need to get more consistency from Dunbar on both ends. Maybe give him the start at Vandy or a lot of minutes to get him more involved and engaged.
4. So impressed with Bruce and his staff and the adjustments we make and emphasis we place on things at halftime. We seem to be able to pinpoint our weaknesses from the first half and make great adjustments as well as anticipate how the other teams are going to adjust to what we're doing so we're prepared.
5. Love the confidence of this group. They don't get rattled. They keep believing in each other and playing hard. No finger pointing or arguing. The communication seems to be superb. I don't know how far this team can go, but it has all the intangibles necessary to go as far as it wants and only a few physical limitations to cause any concern.
TL;DR: BOOG BOOG BOOG
