Boogs v Texas A&M

Mac was god awful last night. Very disappointed in his play and effort. On the bright side I believe Spencer played well and gave great effort.

He just looked depressed last night. Something isn’t right with that guy. He was light years from being his normal, happy, bouncy self. I mean, he looked sad even before the game started. Was just weird. Had no energy at all.

Thinking about that MIT scholly

I thought the broadcast team were idiots, but I agreed with him on the last play. Why didn’t Bruce try to get it to half court and then call another timeout so he could draw up a play? Whatever. That Williams kid is a freak. Hope we never have to play him again

fortunately there are only a handful of teams that hulk like tam-U. they came in with a mission to keep our guys out of the lane and dominate the boards and they executed. couple that with shooting much better than they have in forever, our petite flower hulksters couldn't grab the few rebounds that were available.
I also think the aggs physicality really overwhelmed some of our guys. it's been mentioned several times above but this is where Danjel and Austin were really missed.

Really impressed with how we hung in last night after being on the verge of being blown out. And battling back like that without Bryce makes it even better. Not our last loss but my god we’ve come a long way in a year. Continuing to prove we are for real! No reason to think we can’t beat anybody in the country at full strength on a neutral court. That’s a hell of a feeling.

No matter what, this is good for our team. We haven’t faced s team like this and there are a few in the tournament like this team.. Got to learn how to play with them.

Completely agree. We got punched in the mouth by them in the first half, lost a key player for the second half, and still found a way to have a shot at the end of the game to win. We gotta feel like we proved to ourselves we can beat that type of team and let one get away last night.

I wondered that as well. Get it to halfcourt or just across and get a timeout with 1 second or so. Then you can draw up something from the sideline to get a little better look or possibly get fouled trying to run a play. Still wasn't a terrible look, although I'd have preferred Harper take the deep shot like that. Seems to be more in his wheelhouse, and he practices longer 3s in warmups.

Did they adjust the clock back to 3.1 or 2.9 or leave it at 2.4. I can’t remember if they fixed that.

Not bad, but it was also from 35 feet. Just thought it was possible to do it a little differently to try and get a better, more makeable look.

It is, but I think A&M crowded the midcourt area well initially making it tougher to advance it the way we'd have needed to. They are so freaking long that it makes it difficult.

I too wanted Harper with the ball. Ideally hit someone near midcourt with the inbound as he's streaking by them and almost hook and ladder type action. He's the most likely to make that tough, long, off balance shot IMO and he also is smart enough that is someone is on his rear he stops and draws a foul (which was probably our best chance TBH)

Agreed. Seems he comfortable range at times is from NBA distance or deeper.
