my boss and his son (A&M frosh) are in town playing RTJ trail. Where should they grab some grub and beer?

Guthries for grub and stop and get a party ball at GoalPost to share back at the hotel room to wash down the south's best chicken fingers...

Fo real doe, Acre is good but definitely upscale for AUBURN standards. I've heard good things about Depot and whatever the place is that used to be the Ale House too.

If they just want some good, cheap grub and a good beer selection and good scenery, then just go to Moes' and get a table near the bar and watch bball as well.

The Hound is my favorite restaurant in town, and it has a solid bar. Acre is good, but it might be a little too swanky. Live Oak has a killer outdoor bar and patio setup. The service for food is usually pretty slow )and could be brutal because of spring break and them being short staffed), but the bar area is always pretty well staffed. Their menu is pretty solid.

If the wife and I go day-drinking ever, we go to Live Oak.

Order a Western Sub from Willie’s with some tots.

Fiesta Fries bruh... but I like the way you think

I used to leave a $10 bill in my grill before going out and call in a delivery order about an hour before I went home so it was there when I got back. Talk about winning at life as a young buck..

Me too, and I'd say the bar is better than solid. I've yet to stump them on a cocktail unless it was really esoteric.

As a full-time resident myself, I concur with all of the above.

The only thing I wish was different about it is the location of the bar and/or the size of the area around the bar. I wish there was more area to hang around it. If you aren't sitting down in a chair, it's not the easiest place to order a drink and hang around.

But their bourbon selection is top shelf.

I wish they'd turn the back room into a larger bar area.

Sorry brother. Been caught up in the madness today. Let me check...
If they are DM me on tbb the name of whoever checked in. If I can catch my wife before she gets off of work, I can get her to comp their room for something.

Man thanks for the help brAU. I am banded from that Boogville place. Not sure If I can send DM’s. Also, he never hit me back about where he is staying. Figure he is staying there as he is a Marriott guy. His name is Robert Lombardi if you can hook it up great. If not no worries at all. Muchos Gracious!

I passed the message along. She's going to look into it and see what she can do, if he's staying there.

Instant Update: He's not at the GN, at least by that name.

Thanks bud. No worries and appreciate ya looking out for a brother. If you ever get to Houston hit me up and I will repay the favor. Will update if I hear from him. Can’t remember if they are playing out there today or tomorrow. I know they are going to baseball game tonight.
