He's leaning to Auburn and Auburn has made him a top priority.
Is your buddy still at Hoover or was he one of the coaches that took another HC job?
Update since we messaged last...
We lost a D1 left tackle to Thompson and a D1AA or D2 WR to Hoover (he was kicked off team and had no choice but to transfer if he wanted to play his senior year. I like the kid, not a bad kid, just loses his temper in a dramatic fashion too often)

He's still at Hoover. He want leave Hoover unless it's a head job at Vestavia, Mtn Brook, Thompson or one of the big schools down south. I think the NCAA will change the rule which won't allow schools to recruit a school for 2 years if a high school coach is hired. When the rule changes I think he'll end up at Auburn(Lindsey), Tenn(Pruitt) or wherever Bobby Bentley is OCing by then.
