Gang lets not overlook Marcus Morris’ superior bone density and competitive edge honing his skills amongst a larger global population. He’s 5 years younger than Lebron the genetic advantage is incalculable.

Semi Ojeleye is 23, and from Kansas... he and Lebron aren’t even the same species

don’t even get me started on Jayson Tatum... he turned 20 just 8 weeks ago... Lebron vs essentially a teenager is an unwinnable mismatch

Exactly. 5 years, in Millennial time, equals 1.3 billion Gen X years. Let alone, the next generation. Seriously, I wonder if that dude is really Rice that you guys always laugh about??

That James Harden stepback is so impossible to defend. Just watches your feet till you make a slightly bad move, then step back dagger

KD was balling last night. I like the Warriors. I like the brand of ball they play compared to the Rockets.

I guess the new generation doesn’t mind, but when the playoffs start, and you know who wins 95/100 times, barring a season ending injury to one of four all stars, it’s just not fun for me. I wish KD had stayed in OKC with Russ. That would’ve made for some exciting series the last few years in the West.

I don't have a problem with KD leaving OKC. When I make that much money I'm going to play with whoever I want even if it cost me a couple million. Money isn't everything.

It’s funny how all sports takes about an individual in a team sport is about championships. Three years ago Durant was a choker, or great scorer that couldn’t win the big one. Now he goes to a team that was already a champion and wins one, and all is forgotten.

Absolutely. Just speaking selfishly as a fan of NBA playoff hoops.

I don’t understand the Durant hate. I mean, I do - I just think it’s foolish.

He left to improve his work environment.
He left to improve his lifestyle.
He left to improve his access to other business opportunities.
He left to maximize his rare talent because he understands and appreciates how rarely blessed he is.

He wants to play basketball - at its highest level - and fully achieve his own potential - so he left a situation that was never going to allow him to do that.

Good for him. Going to Golden State, while knowing full well how much people would hate him for it, was the bravest move he could make. The fact that people who have never had to make a decision involving the factors he did viewed it as cowardly is sad.

Whoa buddy the GOAT came out like a man on a mission tonight. Just need to get this one and all will be good

Very fair. I don’t hate KD for leaving. Absolutely understand. I just think the league would be more fun if he was somewhere else.

Changing gears.....I have always been a ”Jordan is the greatest” guy. Bron has absolutely closed the gap. Arguments can be made for him. IF that fool somehow willed this team to a title, I would fistfight everybody on this board and the boog board who said he wasn’t the GOAT. Would absolutely remove all doubt. People could no longer act like Jordan played Six seasons in the league IMO.

Looks like this guy agrees with @Muttonchop and myself that guys are not bigger faster and stronger than days of old. This is a great watch. Thanks to @MDHarrell for sharing.

That video says a lot. Conditions change rapidly. Humans not so much. André The Giant... would still be a giant, even today. And he would kill any Millenial. But I still contend you can't compare folks from different eras. Too many variables.

I won’t be Clev and man has Bron set Clev to bad the next couple years. They have a lot of guys with bad contracts. If Bron leaves, I gut that team and start over.

Bron to Philly would be awesome. I'd actually watch regular season bball if he played with Simmons and Embiid. I've got zero interest in him playing with Paul George with the lakers. Nor do I think he'd want to join James Harden either.

This right here for me. Bron to Philly wood be awesome.

I don't have a problem with it, it's his choice and he is free to make it. I do think it sucks as a fan and it's weird to see a guy who is a top 5 player go somewhere in his prime and it mean he has LESS responsibility. I mean the dude doesn't have to even think about rebounds or assists and if he wants they can hide him on defense for long stretches. All he has to do is score. That's fine, and I'm not trying to knock him because if we all got to take jobs that only included our favorite parts we'd take those jobs without question. But typically guys of his level have to carry so damn much.

I thought Miami's Big 3 was absurd, but they don't compare to this because this is 4 guys and they fit together perfectly where in Miami Bosh had to take a serious step back and change who he was as a player because the fit just wasn't as smooth. These guys all compliment each other perfectly. And we forget that this team minus KD won a title and was going to repeat to Steph got hurt and even then it took an insane finish from the Cave in 7 to keep them from going back to back. Then they added KD. Its just silly

Rockets Vs Celtics would be a clash of two very different style of play.

I know the win last night gave people hope, but they are going to come back to Houston down 3-1. Rockets were great last night. Steph is banged up so that gives them a chance but I just don't see it. The Warriors Death Lineup got crushed last night and I have a very hard time seeing that happen again. It's been certain death for everyone for 2 years now. That doesn't change in one night for me.

But I would like to see Houston vs Celtics or even Cavs. I'd feel like I was at least 10% unsure of who would win the series then.

So is this board’s consensus that Lebron is better than MJ?

Also, the lack of love for Steph Curry on here, arguably the most skilled player ever, is concerning.

The most skilled player ever is getting his ass handed to him on the defensive end.

Durant is just too good. I am sad

They would have been the favorites the last 2 seasons WITHOUT ADDING KEVIN FREAKING DURANT.

I have no historical sports context for this team. The 01-02 Lakers were dominant but that was a shorter run and you knew it was unsustainable because of Kobe/Shaq drama. The Bulls of Jordan won 6 but I don't recall it feeling as absolutely unavoidable as this is. I felt like there were teams that had a shot at least. This is taking a dynasty and then deciding to add one of the best 5 players on the planet to it and not losing anything of note at all in return. It's like Jordan's Bulls adding prime David Robinson to it.

Yep. And yet I still see folks on social media saying the Bulls would sweep this squad.
