From the perspective of what I would like to see Gus add to his offense, I would love for him to hire Brent Dearmon. Guy is really good with RPO's and bases out of the same offense. Then I remember that Gus is going to Gus and it doesn't fvcking matter who he hires.

Lsu gonna lose Dave Aranda, Joe Burrow, and maybe their hot shot young co OC. All be worth it for a natty though if they get it. But it'll be interesting to see how Orgeron reloads. Gotta think those are appealing jobs. tons of talent and freedom
Chad Morris and Gus are the same person. Both led to greatness by amazing dual threat athletes and both think it is entirely them. The only difference between the two is that Gus took better head coaching jobs that made him look better than he is. If Gus had any self awareness he would have hired a great recruiter or someone who could add something to what he already does. Doesn't really matter who the OC is anyway, Gus is gonna Gus but hot damn do I hate Gus.
You can get away any one of these
- a bad season after an excellent season
- being a guy that may have taken it easy before going to the draft for a bit
- being a strange cat to the point NFL teams think you may not even like the sport and could quit at any time just because
You can't get away with more than one and certainly not all 3. He will need to absolutely destroy the NFL combine, if he gets an invite. His measurable needs to be impossible to ignore just to get him on draft boards at all IMO. HIs best case is gonna be to get into a camp, either as a free agent or a late pick with no guaranteed money I'd guess and ball out.
Good luck to him, but he's made this path a million times more difficult than it needed to be
