I've seen enough for tonight. Hope they make me look foolish with an epic comeback, but I don't see any chance of that tonight. I'm afraid its time to admit we just aren't very good this year. We won't be ranked again this year after getting smoke by an awful team like Ole Miss so we can cut checking the polls out of our Monday plans. Really depressing to watch this go from a very promising season fall apart so quickly.
Is it too late to cancel gameday? Hosting it after scoring 40 points and getting beaten by a 9 loss ole piss team by 30+ is going to be pretty awful.
I’ve been fighting back the urge to post it, but I don’t see a lot of talent on the roster aside from Okoro. Cambridge yes, but he’ll be a four year guy that probably won’t be a superstar. I don’t love Flanny’s game at all. And all the seniors have been average at best. Austin is elite on defense but useless on O for the most part. We need a lot of turnover in this upcoming class and some legit scoring threats.
They’ll play better at home. Always do. Freakin Ole Miss just has our number too. Inexplicable
But I’m beyond concerned that our guards just aren’t close to good enough. Fine at home when everyone else is chipping in but when you need them to handle pressure and create looks for others on the road it’s so freaking bad. The 2 starting guards are again 1-10 to start a game and have 6 turnovers in a half. This is our new normal in a true road game when the opponent plays high intensity perimeter defense.

J'Von and Samir both have floors that are so low we don't have a chance when they are playing poorly. Other teams just have to harass them the way Ole Miss is tonight to throw them off their games. I don't think I've ever seen anyone who has as much range between good and bad play as Samir.

That's certainly how it looks, but we will be very lucky to keep it within 20 at Ark or Uk. I was convinced this team was built to grind out road wins. Damn, was I ever wrong about that.

I in no way fault him for this, but I think Bruce made a mistake not getting another PG. I think Samir has played too many minutes and asking him to do things that aren’t his strength has hurt his game.
