Im referring to tronzing. Curious as to the route everyone took to get here with Gregory.

About twelve yrs ago I started an office job. It got pretty boring and was never real busy. I kept up with the Boogs on al.com.

Al.com got overran withd bams and my group started a website called "War Eagle Post". It was ran very clean and I even wrote a couple articles on football. Was there for about a year before a buddy told me about the boog site. Lurked on his account for a while. Got interested in posting so forked over the cash and joined in.

Here we are. I've never changed my username on any site either.

When I was in high school I got really interested in the Carnell Williams vs Keldrick Williams battle and started reading message boards. I was friends with a D1 prospect and he told me about some crackas on a message board talking about him and found what eventually became the Bunker.

I was an intern at WJOX back in 2008-09, and part of my job was to lurk on teh bourdes (we had access to the bunker and bol) for any info that might be discussed on the show (The Opening Drive). I got hooked, and continued to lurk long after my internship was over. I shared the login info with a couple of close AU friends, and when JOX changed the login info, one of my buddies got a full sub. I owe him about 4 years worth of 1/3 payment. Thanks Biff!

Used to post on some music forums in search of soundboard recordings of concerts. But those forums were mostly general discussion anything goes boards owned by a bunch of ex dead heads and occupied by a bunch of younger current ones

Started by searching for live Euro cycling coverage, then was looking for more AU recruiting info. Would scour the web for bits and pieces, bounced around on a few small boards and then started listening to the "eyes on auburn" show and subscribed over at the bunker.

Used to read Andy Bitter's War Eagle Extra Blog and JGT's HABOTN when I was in high school to get info. Enjoyed both sites. Andy Bitter was my boy, can't believe he left for Va Tech

Was 13 and became obsessed with recruiting. I joined the free site auburneagle.com and posted there for a while. Then me and a buddy went in together when we were 15 or so and split the account for a few years. Later in high school and early in college I didn't have the time so we canceled. I lurked for a while on a few accounts and finally got this account a few years ago. I work full time and go to school full time so I kinda go through waves of getting on a bunch and not getting on at all for a while.

Did it seem to you like toward the end of his Auburn run that he had gotten really negative about Auburn? Probably for good reason and all but I enjoyed his coverage when he started out and toward the end he seemed pretty.....bitte...no....miffed.

What season did he leave? I can't remember now. I didn't notice if it he did. He did seem to have a pretty dry or biting sense of humor, so you may be right in your assessment

Not even sure how it all got started really. As for how I got to boogville, my cousin had an account and I was only posting on AUFam or whatever it was called back then. Lurked for a short time and realized there was much more going on, not just football talk.

I started tronzing before we had internet in my home town. Local dial-up bulletin board systems, generally only 1to 2 people could access it at the time. Then later, AOL Chat, then on the brand new world wide web i hung out on the Grateful Dead Radio chat room. TOS was the first auburn board o visited, before it was Scout. I think the network wad called TheInsiders at the time.

Scout forums in HS/college to keep up with AU football & recruiting.
WSP and Dead forums in HS/college for soundboards and trading DAT tapes.
Still have a DAT player? I found a bunch of old shows when packing to move but have nothing to play them on any longer. Never should've sold my DAP1

There used to be an account on the boog board WJOX when you could see who was at the top or bottom of the page, according to your settings. Was that you, because if it was, I called yore azz out several times

I hadn't even heard of a message board until 2007. My brother gave me a username and password for somebody's scout account. As learned the art of tronzing, I discovered the boog board we know today as tbb. Things took off from there. My tronzing has had ebbs and flows since I joined tbb in 2008.

Holy crap, AOL chat on dial-up. Now there is some memories I have not had in awhile.

My 2nd job out of college I was working at a bank and they laid off our entire department, but encouraged us to apply for other jobs in the bank. I took another job at that same bank solely because it was labeled salary and not hourly so you could occasionally leave early if you needed to (this is how it was sold to me but I didn't get to leave early nearly as often as I thought). The job was the most boring thing I had ever done and the people I worked with were complete idiots. What took many of my co-workers all day to do, I could do in maybe 2 or 3 solid hours of work. Our work was randomly selected and graded for accuracy and I never made below 100% accuracy. I started tronzing on the bunker in between each piece of work, so it would look like I was working all day. I believe I was working for 2 or 3 hours and tronzing for 5 or 6. I was actually glad when I left that job, because I didn't want to become stumpfan.

I was Hatfield on there. It was definitely fun and i made some very kind connections through the place.
I was IndiIndi. I may remember you. I remember someone named Patfield who was famously gonna drive Chicago to somewhere in South Carolina to fight someone. Not gonna post my first handle on there since I was stupid and it had my name in it

If was 2009-2012, probably so. I knew all the bunkerisms and had been a pretty hardcore lurker well before I ever made my first post. I even accidentally posted once free the JOX account. Apparently, one of the bammer former interns posted something inflammatory from the WJOX account sometime in 2012, and they changed the login info.

That would have been the time frame for sure. That's funny

I wish I had a photo of mine. It's hilarious. It looks like it's been through a war.

I think I took entirely too much MDMA back then. My memory of those wondrous times and experiences is too sparse and hazy. I spent so much time on those boards and have no clue what my handle was.

It was damn fun though.
You know what your handle was. You probably hooked up with all those girls on the board

Working in a large athletic department, I had plenty of free time to internet and develop new and improved funnel cake recipes.

Seriously, have been on a couple boards for years as a lurker and had back surgery about 5 years ago and posted more out of boredom.

I got really into a game called wolfenstein enemy territory, it was released for free and the source code etc was open too and some people got together and started a server and then we started modding the game and hosting competitions etc etc. Then we got a website and shit got real and our forums were kind of home. Then I moved on to reddit etc.
