Guess I may have to take @demeat off ignore so I can delittle him over his silly notion that Lebron isn’t the GOAT...
I don’t know but I always trust @Slippin JimmyWhat did I miss?

Haven’t watched an iota of the LJ era or the Sunny/Butch eras but I know I can trust that:
LJ is the Goat
SG was a great coach and king of small ball
BT is in over his head and will overuse pitchers
Dude just garnered a follow from me after reading the 2nd tweet
That's pretty fantastic. I'm still on the MJ is the goat team though. Not super passionate about it or anything.
Lord have mercy that’s so bad.
Funny how that works
I’ve always believed it was MJ #1 and Lebron #2 but I’m starting to open my mind to the chance Lebron passes him. He’s unreal. Micheal had a killer instinct that I’m not sure anyone could pass, but Lebron has a physicality that allows him to shoulder an insane load for a 7 games series that we’ve never seen either. He’s scoring a huge chunk of their points, assisting on another chunk and he keeps having games where he shoots 60%+ and the rest of his team shoots under 35% despite the fact that every bit of focus is on him and teams give the other guys much better looks. It’s absurd

yeah, sure but did lebron play for the bulls nope. So he is not goat.
I fail to recognize how much more athletic the league is, I like to reminice about old players. I don't understand statistics. Therefore LeBron is not the goat.
I was lucky enough to see Dr. J, Kareem, Bird, Magic, and Jordan play. One thing I believe, you can't compare players from different eras. To me, Dr. J was amazing. Not saying he was the GOAT, but damn. I also wouldn't call LeBron the GOAT. I don't think there is one. Just several all-time greats, that faced different circumstances. Think about how much the NBA has changed in the last 15 years.
Basketball didn't start 5 years ago, young'un.well. Can't argue there, as I clearly didn't even comprehend what you had witten. Completely missed your whole point. ouldes man could ball.
Exactly! You just can't compare players of different eras. So there is no GOAT. There are GOATs of their era. And I'll give LeBron the modern GOAT.This is a good point that I see talked about some, but not nearly enough. The game is SO different now and it changes with every generation. MJ might average close to 40ppg in todays NBA where you can't get nearly as physical with guys and the pace of play is much faster overall. And Lebron could walk back into late 80's/early 90's NBA and be the best all around player in the world almost instantly because his body is made to take the pounding nature of the way they played then. You'd never score on a Lebron level defender who was allowed to hand check and move you as an offensive player. He's too big/too strong. He'd eliminate almost any perimeter offensive player. And he could keep going into the paint on offense where most guys couldn't handle getting hammered in a league where attempted manslaughter was the norm on drives to the rim.
The elite of the elite could walk into any generation of basketball and be great IMO. There are elite guys who I would never even mention in debating GOAT's because they can't do that. They were built for their age of hoops and would struggle in others.
LolIf prime MJ came into the league right now he would be the best in the world, again. Lebron is a superior genetic specimen. MJ is a perfect basketball player. Basically Lebron is a once in a generation physical freak, like Bo Jackson or Cam Newton. MJ however very athletic, had all the other traits. Drive, high basketball IQ, tanacity on Defense, refusal to lose, North Carolina pedigree, etc. He is flawless.
Yeah you know it’s gotta be bad when Harv is LOL’ing at youI assume demeat said something mind-numbingly stupid here to get this LOL

Giannis Antetokounmpo, when he is all done what is his potential? Seems like he doesn’t get any love here.
