OT: AU Hut Hut Squad

I would be concerned if I hadn’t read an article earlier today where Grimes said that Game 7 was the turning point last year. That was the UT game. Then we had the TA&M game where Jimbo went full blown Gus to give us a game. Then UGA and Bama. So yeah, we should be good.

Driscoll was terrible when we played better teams, he’s probably good enough to get us back to 8-5. Huge drop off if either gets hurt, especially with Troxall being out (who is slow anyway).

Heard GuZ on JOX Friday as he was playing in the Regional. About 75% of his air time, he talked about BRUCE & the HYGS. I softened a bit on him, but only as a person & not as a corch.

I have read that a new football complex could be approved as soon as the next Board of Trustees meeting on June 7th.

Should be extremely nice given the 60 million dollar price tag. Clemson got rave reviews and their new football complex cost around 55 million 4 or 5 years ago.

Getting the facilities on par with other top teams will hopefully make it easier to attract new coaches

I was laughing at you until you got it right.

You can see why they are trying to sign two qbs in this class. Just for depth purposes. If I'm Cord, I'm leaving for Troy or South Alabama.

Who trust Gus to develop quarterbacks anyway? I am team Gatewood because I hope his running and athletic ability can make up for Gus' coaching blunders

Man, if i'm Cord, who hasn't payed for anything since he left high school 20 yrs ago, i'm gonna sit right where i am and ride this cash cow for all it's worth. That guy stares at Joey and Bo everyday and knows that he'd rather hold a clipboard and let those two kids take the hits. Gus is the only guy that offered him a scholarship. Dude is getting a free education, a whole legion of academic support, free food, housing and can still spy some of the best split tail on a daily basis. #TakeTheEducationAndRun

At this point, I want the entire football program to collapse.

That way, the PTB will learn the hard truth of not trying to penny-pinch with the largest revenue generating sport on campus.

Auburn deserves to lose tens of millions of dollars for keeping Gus and JBG around.
I don't think there is anything that is going to make them learn TBH. The problem with the "collapse on itself and they'll learn to not be cheap" is that when it collapses on itself the revenue dries up from every angle and the interest tails off and you can't find anyone to pay for jack.

I've just resigned to the fact we'll be that program that is good enough to have some magical seasons cause we get just enough talent that sometimes the soup comes together and we make a run..2004, 2010, 2013. We'll have some solid years where we are in the hunt late in the season but aren't quite good enough and we'll have bad 7-5 or worse years because we simply aren't interested in in investing to stabilize the program and do the work. We're the roller coaster program and I don't see that changing, unless the change is we tank out and become Vandy football of the SEC West.

Several media outlets have already reported that Auburn has raised half of the 60 million dollar price tag. That was supposedly the set figure to go forward with the plans for the new football complex. Just needed approval from Board of Trustees at their next meeting on June 7th.
