Thread will probably just me talking to myself, but been doing a lot of cooking recently and just decided to start a little thread baby where people can share recipes and what they’re making.

Gonna be making a rack of lamb tomorrow for the first time so legggggoooooo

In honor of the weekend I sauteed the Holy Trinity and made a batch of red beans and rice.

Cutting up a beef tenderloin later today for family coming home & just layed out some sea scallops for searing. Gonna grill a ton of veggies & do twice baked cheese taters. Already cooked down a ton of green beans last night in my grandma’s old cast iron skillet.

Will do. I’ve seen your menus before here, and you seem to be me in a few more years. Folks find it funny when they drop by & see the wife trimming shrubs & me creating fine fares, but hey it works.

Well Mr. Mits, there’s my taters. I’ve uploaded Photobucket & am posting my first ever pic, but that gizmo keeps kicking me out & making me log in every time I take a breath. After over a dozen attempts, just gonna have to say the filets & scallops were out of this World. My first thought on this Easter Sunday, is the Good Lord didn’t want me to go all Knotted Shorts anyway. Ha

Yep. I’ve got a beef tip roast about to come up as well. Carrots, red & yellow peppers & sweet onions. Decided to used turnips ILO of taters to try & keep the pretty much pure sugar outta my blood. My experiments usually come out pretty well, but we shall see....

Looking good. I deep fried wings for the first time this weekend. Were awesome and I didn’t burn down my building
I want a deep fryer but really don’t know what to do with the oil. I may only use it a few times a year and don’t want to buy oil each time. But I abhor old tasting or over used tasting oil. Where do you dump that shat?

I don't have a deep fryer and you don't need one. Just a pot and some oil. i've fried a lot of stuff before but this was my first time doing wings for some reason. You can reuse the oil a few times. Just let it cool and then use a funnel to put it back into the cotainer/empty milk jug or something. Then once you've used it to your liking (3 or 4 times), funnel it back into the jug and toss it out. Not too difficult. Some cities have recycling centers you can take it to but I've never done that
 
Corn on the cob, baked apples, twice baked cheese taters, my own squash & mater cooked in an iron skillet & Pacific White Snapper sautéd in my high end non-stick pan. Been frying the HECK out of my squash & okrie, but working all of it off. Last night I cut a huge slab off a choice ribeye loin I bought at Sams. I did it Pittsburgh style, and it’s something I learned from Kellerdog, much to my chagrin.

I’d like to know what the Greg cooks the special lady in his life. Better question would be where he takes his little lady to wine and dine her
