I could be way off... it happens... but I think I’ve had a decent finger on the pulse of how these matchups could shake out the last few weeks
I was wrong about their ball screen defense... they won’t switch and allow us to keep them spread and take advantage... instead, they’re going to play them more aggressively, which is a recipe for disaster against us
if Jared and JVon are decisive and don’t turn it over... they dont even have to always make the perfect decision, they just have to make a fast decision and commit to it... but if they do, they can go by Salt the entire time he’s on the court - and probably by Diakite... they have 28 steals on the year - between the 2 of them... they aren’t going to disrupt Jared or JVon and they aren’t going to deflect passes if they’re just aggressive - and I don’t think aggression is an issue for either of those guys right now
they want you to press (not defensively, psychologically) and get down when you miss a few shots or things don’t go well... our guys have been through so much adversity, that bullshit doesn’t work against us... we’re not soft... we’re not gonna hang our head when shit doesn’t go well... and we’re not gonna be deterred by failure
you think for 1 second Jared, or Bryce, or Samir, or Malik, or JVon, or Horace think those hideous chalkies will hold us down for 40 minutes? maybe for 20, maybe even for 30, even for 36, but not for 40... you think they’re gonna be rattled? and most of all, do you think they’re “just happy to be there”? because watching the celebration after the Purdue game, UVA looked a little too excited - and a little too proud - and a little too, idk the word, but watching that celebration they didn’t look like a team ready to go to work and win 2 more... they looked like a team so relieved to get that win that they had done everything they set out to do
now maybe that means they play with house money and play loose and rout us and whoever they face in the finals... but of the 2 teams, they’re far more likely to roll over and quit when they get punched in the mouth... Jerome is the only dog they’ve got... Guy isn’t a dog, Hunter isn’t a dog, Diakite and Salt don’t get enough shots to matter, and Clark just isn’t physically talented enough to win against Jared or JVon right now
if we miss shots early and they dig in and have some early success - then we’re in a fight for 40 minutes...
but if we put Steven’s plan into full effect early, make some shots, and give them a reason to quit - all the talking heads will be shocked at how quickly they roll over... I think this is another UT or UNC game... we feel them out, slowly get our bearings and get comfortable with their defense and pace the first 15-20 minutes, settle in, and then bury them early in the second half and they’re going to quit

I have an apartment in DC and come up here when I work.
I’m a freelance court stenographer - only do depositions and arbitrations. I probably average working 2.5 days a week. Sometimes I’m up here for two or three weeks at a time and then I can be in AL for a week or two. It just depends.
I’ve been back and forth every week since the end of February (in large part because of our HYGs) so flying a lot these days.
Going to get state certified in AL and GA so I can work when I’m down there. I’ve had to turn down a good amount of work in Bham and Atl because of not being certified, and I get bored after being down there for a week or so with nothing to do. Might as well do what it takes to make some money when I’m home.

Most ppl prob don’t know Tim Cook is an AU grad and you know he will be put on camera a lot. He told pawl he couldn’t be there sat but would be there Monday if we win.
Also, steph curry is an honorary boog. He surprised the team tonight with a message and gave them all brand new pairs of shoes from his line. This final four thing is fun.

Since a Boog fan must take in any sports related media during CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK, I been listening to Finebaum on the reg this week. So he gets a call from Tim of Cupertino yesterday that kind of blew him away. Said Tim had his two alma maters Duke & the Boogs in the finals of his bracket & plans on being there Monday when we cut down some nets. I thought that was cool.

I’m a little pissed the committee didn’t have this matchup of bluebloods in the championship game but rather in the elite 8 after we had played each other multiple times already. You don’t see them putting puke and the cheats in the elite 8 against each other. Good luck the rest of the way gents
